Most people will tell you that New Vegas is the best 3D fallout. I am one of those people. If you are new to the Fallout franchise and like the gun play of the newer titles I highly recommend installing some combat mods to help you get used to it, you do not want to skip this game because the newer ones have better combat. The game still holds up imo because of the great storytelling and faction choices. New Vegas isn't perfect, but I can confidently it is the best FPS RPG I have ever played. This game checks every box that I have for a good RPG. The leveling system is simple yet complex and allows for multiple different playthroughs trying different builds. The setting and storytelling is amazing and the faction system really makes you feel like it has 20 different endings which also adds to the replayability. You will be on your 3 playthrough and find and do completely different things than what you did your 1st or 2nd. The DLC is the best in the franchise and all tie into the story in a big way too, They are worth you money for sure. Snag the Ultimate Edition when its on sale or pay full price its honestly worth it. 10/10 best fallout game
