Start with some FTL style mechanics and theming, throw in some Overcooked style teamwork and time based action, and wrap it all up in a Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime feel. But then, make it technical and make it challenging!

Should you try to blow up their weapons or perhaps blow up their walls and have the vacuum of space suffocate them?

Between rogue-lite style combats and upgrades, there are charming mini-games that can gain you supplies to stay ahead of the curve. No matter your RNG, you can always make the most of your situation.

Single player mode is good. You'll have to rely on the AIs, which are okay at some jobs and terrible at others. Learning to use them right is necessary for success. In co-op mode, you'll have to rely on other actual people. Depending on who they are, this could go well or much worse! Be careful who you trust to man the weapons. AI or human could mess that up.

I'm hoping to see more guides come soon, as there is a lot of depth to the gameplay that isn't obvious at first. Start on easy mode as you learn the game. You won't win on your first several tries, but you'll learn and improve each time!

A classic for sure. I've searched, and never found another game quite like it.

The mechanics are very engaging. Use a variety of different systems on your ship to approach exploration and combat. Its very possible to win the game without using your "weapons" system. You may instead opt to use hacking, mind control, and drones to destroy your enemies.

Pause the game to analyze your situation. Give commands to your crew while the game is paused! When you unpause, those commands will be acted on. This allows you to play the game at your own pace, despite the real time elements.

Each music track has two versions, combat and non-combat. When entering danger, the music shifts to the alternate version at the same point in the song, creating a smooth sounding yet impactful switch.

Like any Roguelite, there's a solid amount of RNG, and new players may want to start on easy mode, where the RNG matters far less. But experienced players can win very reliably on hard mode, even with bad RNG.

Once you're comfortable with the base game, I would highly recommend downloading the free fan expansion Multiverse, which continues to get updates regularly! You could easily spend 100-200 hours on the vanilla game, and 500+ on Multiverse
