One of the first games i have ever played, probably a reason why I am into videogames so much now. The first map is forever kept in my best memories as a kid. And yes, game is kind of slow paced, but in my opinion, it still holds up, mechanics are great, it's long, and all along it's enjoyable. STRONGLY recommend if you are into these kinds of games.
