Microtransactions are garbo, but gameplay is the best since reach, pick it up for free multiplayer definitely. Campaign is pretty good, watch some reviews before buying tho.

I've had this bad-boy since day one; I wouldn't get it if you're looking for a nitty gritty WW2 Strategy game. If your more into the tactics, & chain of command masochism, I would recommend Hoi3 with black ice. Though this is a game where you can kinda infer alot of things into like Civ5. It also has alot more replayability due to the national focus system, I generally think it's a little bit more fun than Eu4, because on a surface level it's not as gamey. It's always fun to play as some balkan country and try to survive WW2, or set up a unique scenario using the custom game tools. Again the mods are really what make this game. If it wasn't for the lack of a good economy system I would say this game is the post-victorian successor to Vicky 2. Overall if you are a fan of WW2, or history in general, and would like to have some fun with friends, this is the way to go.
