I would not recommend this game :(, in 2024 I still routinely have launch failures / freezes 50 - 66% of the time (I require 2nd screen just to properly close and reopen the game). Visually the game is plagued with screen tears and enemies freeze mid-animation. Gameplay explosions are delayed and melee enemies will phase through your weapon's sights during their attacks. This game isn't bad, but these issues pull you out of the experience.

Destroy the bots, kill the bugs! Do your part! My friends and I haven't slept since we first dropped, but it's worth it to do our part spreading .0001% freedom to the galaxy.

Overall great story and a fun, creepy game. Game setting and mysteries pull you into the game mixing combat, clues, and deductive reasoning to keep you engaged. Side quests hold lots of Lovecraft, Robert Chambers, and references to other writers. Investigative gameplay is intuitive, while gunplay/combat is sluggish. Some of the weapons feels / sound like toys but others, like the shotgun and molotovs feel powerful! Game isn't afraid of controversial content and the story really shines through it. Fans of occult / Cthulhu mythos should play for sure.

Great fun! Gives me exactly enough freedom to make what I want, with enough gameplay constraints to encouraged planned choices. Only negative is with the amount of DLCs available yet the amount of features not available in vanilla; I'm disappointed in the cost for the Game + all DLC.
