A very fun and immersive puzzler regardless of your experience level as an engineer.

The pseudo-assembly language that you use throughout SHENZHEN I/O is reasonably detailed and capable of a wide array of instructions. Despite this, the language is still straightforward and relatively easy to pick up. The ability to also build your own circuits from a diverse selection of microcontrollers adds an additional layer of complexity and challenge to the puzzles, and these two features happily come together to create scenarios where players will have to select their components wisely in order to use said language effectively.

The puzzles themselves start out very simple and increase in difficulty at a comfortable pace, making this game very accessible to beginners. Players are also able to compare the efficiency of their designs to each other via an in-game leaderboard, and can use it continue to refactor and optimise their solutions until they reach the top spot.

A fantastic and enjoyable game that I highly recommend to everyone, especially those looking to procrastinate while working from home
