Very fun, relaxing, and satisfying puzzle/organization game. If you like games like Unpacking you'll probably enjoy this.

Early Access Review
THIS is the early access version? But it's so good already! I can't believe there's more to come! I'm beyond excited to see what the dev has planned! If you played the first game and loved it, you HAVE to play this game. If you've never played the first game, you should still play this game. You won't regret it.

This game is charming and adorable. Like a lot of other reviews have said, it's not particularly deep or challenging. It's really just half casual dungeon crawler, half shopkeeping. It's definitely not for everyone, but it's a great sit-back-and-relax kinda game. If you're looking for a really in-depth resource management game mixed with a challenging dungeon crawler, you will not find that here.

The game's best assets are the music and the art style, both of which are beautiful and endearing.

A lot of reviews have mentioned bugs, and they do exist. I have had to restart my game several times after playing for a few hours to get past some parts, but at the same time, the game was released yesterday. The bugs are nothing that a few patches wouldn't fix. Maybe the devs should have paid a little more attention to detail before release to avoid the bugs in the first place, but I don't see them as gamebreaking.

Overall, Moonlighter is a cute little indie game that you could probably play with your eyes closed. It's engaging enough to be fun, but not as intricate as it could have been.

This is not so much a game as it is an experience to be enjoyed.

Stunning visuals, phenomenal soundtrack, and very, very unique gameplay all go into this incredible game, but it doesn't end there. A well-written, believable story featuring no intelligible dialogue contributes vastly as well. And though the characters are left without names (in the convential sense) you find yourself just wanting to call to them anytime something unfortunate happens.

As counter-intuitive as the controls seem at first, it doesn't take long before your figure out the simplistic style and, despite them being easy to understand, they take practice to master. Whether you play just for the story, or embark on the sidequests along the way, you'll have yourself an incredible adventure as you follow these two brothers on their journey.

The story itself will have you smiling like an idiot, crying like a baby, and curling your toes with anxiety. Its fast-paced, fun exterior is coated heavily in a simple plot brought to life by simple characters that you can't help but fall in love with. It's so simple that you add your own complexity to them. Their personalities are shown through the little things you stop and do along the way and less by the story itself.
