While I enjoyed this game when I had the opportunity to play, I ran into two game-breaking glitches during my playthrough towards the very end, damaging the experience.

The first: during the last fight against a repeating boss, after dying and returning to the boss, various aspects of the game were broken (the music triggered about 15 times, creating a terrible sound; the boss would randomly not attack at all; and the boss would leap out of bounds), and defeating the boss led to a soft lock, making the game uncompletable.
The second, after I replayed the game and made sure to close the game and restart, I was unable to progress through the final interrogation. Despite exhausting all dialogue options with all NPCs and reading all notes, it seemed something occurred that made me lose my "notes"--similar issues appear to have occurred for FluffeyPanda, as noted in their review. Reviewing a video of someone completing the game, I had access to the same information in my Case Notes, but not during the interrogation.

Other minor bugs were mild annoyances, such as being able to jump out of bounds by leaping to the top of a wall in a particular room (softlocking) or the max health upgrade no longer functioning after a player death. These were by no means enough to sour my enjoyment of the game, though when put alongside the aforementioned game-ending bugs, they do lend credence to a lack of QA testing, particularly for things like player deaths.

I absolutely look forward to any future installments, but I would desperately prefer these bugs be resolved if possible.

A wonderful new spin on a great base. I loved the original risk of rain, and with the new additions and step into an FPS, Risk of Rain 2 is a great time alone or with friends.

A wonderful game already worth its cost in spades and with frequent updates, I can't reccomend Slay the Spire enough for any fan of rogue-likes or drafting card games.
