This game feels, looks, and acts badly.
I've been a solid CoD player over the years, enjoying the MW seires, World at War, Zombies, and the original Black Ops, but this, being my first PC CoD experience has left a sour tasts in my mouth, fingers, and eyes.

The first thing, is the gun sounds. They are by far the WORST thing about this game. They sound less like a gun and more like my pully a cherry out from an unsavoury place. There is no substance to them, much like the campaign. There is just nothing to it. Walk, shoot. Walk, shoot. Press X to continue. There is no gameplay.

Its not like the plot is anything substantial either. It feels old, recycled. Boring.

A character summed it up himself. Its just a [game], he'd like to make you think he's something more, but he's just a poor pitiful excuse for a [game]"
Out.

So, I've played this for 100 minutes now and I am a good fan of board games, however I think there are some serious design flaws with this game that just do not make it enjoyable for me.

The objective is to get stars, either by winning battles or by accumulating them on "bonus" tiles. You go Clockwise around a board of these tiles and you can battle each other and also use cards including effect and trap cards. Sound good? It does, however the focus is WAAY too high on the RNG.

Everything comes down to a dice roll at some point, and no matter how much skill or foresight you've put into something it comes down to a dice roll and for me that mechanic just kills the game.

Adorable? Yes.
Funky music? Yes.
Good game? In my eyes, no.

This is a very good game.
The clear step forward for The Witcher series improving on number 1 in pretty much every conceivable way.
Graphics, very good even for a 2016 standard when cooking it up to 11.
Characters, The Witcher revolves around the characters and their past, present, and future stories. Every quest has something important in it and interningling with the core story are some brilliant comedic moments.
This game delivers in all fronts and I cannot wait for number 3 to continue my adventure.

I do have to say after playing this for some 30+ hours that I am thoroughly enjoying this.

It does feel like a button masher at some point with the combat but the continually changing sea or Uruk and the way the game creates the enemies on the fly as well as the game potentially getting harder every time you die makes the combat system the least of your worries.

Its a good narative with stongly portrayed characters and a good balance of "find it" quests, "do this" quests and main story quests.

The DLC seems expansive too and I have only just begun to touch on this.
When you consider I got the GOTY edition for just about £8 this game is great and totally worth it!

I have to say, I do like this game. A lot.

There is fantastic graphical update to previous titles. The voice acting is far, FAR improved upon compared to Dreamfall where I thought it lacked. The characters are witty, involving, and much more developed than they were in Dreamfall to, making this a sound development from the previous title.

The game movement is slow but then that has been consistent throughout all games, in some way it adds to the pacing of the story. Overall there are some much improved features. The decision making in this game is superb. The decisions do feel weighty, there are some really tough ones to make and the effects of them ripple through the story well.

Good style of play, harkening back to the first game. No sign of any combat which I really didn’t like from Dreamfall so that is a plus too. Overall this game really seems to have nailed what I wanted more of from Dreamfall.

Story is very good, driving, mysterious, far more engaging than Dreamfall and better written than The Longest Journey.

This is by far the best of the lot.

This is the devolution of the fantastic point-and-click adventure game The Longest Journey.
You play as two characters the bland and uninteresting Zoe, and the far more playable and engaging April. April being the character from the first game.

This game takes a massive step back in terms of the voice acting and an even bigger step in the form of an addition of combat, which is clunky mal-placed and a thorough waste of time when it comes to the rest of the game. I cant say that I am a fan of it.

The graphics are really nice and were stunning when it originally came out. The game is also very much a nostalgia trip for those who played the original game, visiting the same locations, interacting with the same people etc and builds on it but only fractionally.

EDIT: This game does take a lot of time (for me) to get into. It feeds off of the nostalgia of the first game and does play it well but I stand by my original review. I loved it, but then I played The Longest Journey and now I can't say that I do.

This is a really good Point and Click adventure / story driven game.
It does show its age in the graphical department but the sound, as well as the voice acting, and story has not aged at all. This is still a very good game and a very nice experience. It is amusing, enthralling and well worth the time put into it.

Top notch oldie.

Recommended, but only when on sale.

Fun, but I honestly can't play this for any more than 2 levels at a time max.

The premise is great. A "Type-them-up" with the facility to produce custom dictionaries and have a click shooter as well, fantastic. The carry out is that you have poor graphics with limited replayability, even with custom dictionaries, as the dialogue which is not skippable gets very VERY tiresome and this detracts from the game.

I got this for £3 or there abouts so I dont feel it was wasted but having known this I would NEVER have paid full price.

This is quite a good fun Portal imitator which has its own idea on how to make physics puzzles more interesting.

The idea being you transfer between dimensions with different properties to solve puzzles. However I have one big gripe with this and that is the momentum within the game.

Sometimes, when it suits, momentum is conserved, and other times it really, REALLY, isnt. You will remain still on moving objects and then fall to your doom. You can be blocked by certain floors, while objects sail through, etc. etc...

This game is by no means perfect, making it very much only an imitator of Portal and not a competitor. I would recommend it for a visit, but only get it if it is on sale.
