This is probably my favorite strategy game, it has such a large variety of playstyles and the new content just adds more and more unique ways to augment those playstyles. Peaceful pacifists to genocidal AI and everything in between and more. I mainly play when new content comes out for the game or whenever I just feel like listening to the soundtrack and passively do some empire managing. There is a lot to learn and I learn something new about the game just about every time I open it, but if you have someone there willing to help, the game is not too difficult to learn but can be quite difficult to master. I kinda just use the game to chill with friends for long periods of time, those that are interested at least.

The one game on Steam that keeps on changing both from the high mod content available on the Steam Workshop and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ content that gets released. While the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ content released has been over long periods of time, everything added has been amazing to see in game as added mechanics and visuals. Highly recommended game as there is so much you can do and change in the game; the core of the game doesn't change much but the content you can add may influence how you go about dealing with those core mechanics! The colony will grow, there will be conflicts and hardship, there will be times of celebration, and of course you do what you need to do to survive and thrive.

Hours and hours later, even more content added and the game continues to have such cool expansions and modding support. The game is still amazing even after all of this time.

Really fun and pretty replayable with others.
