Red Barrels has skillfully seized the opportunity to cater to the growing demand for social horror games and movies with The Outlast Trials. This cooperative horror title holds immense potential, offering players an intense and chilling journey that can be shared with friends. By embracing a live-service approach, the game ensures a continuous stream of content and updates, ensuring long-term engagement for its dedicated community.

Building upon the core gameplay mechanics that made the first two games successful, The Outlast Trials delivers a nerve-wracking experience. Players can expect heart-pounding stealth sequences, spine-chilling exploration, and terrifying encounters with relentless enemies. The game's emphasis on vulnerability, limited resources, and the need for strategic cooperation adds an extra layer of tension and excitement.

In summary, The Outlast Trials is a standout entry in the co-op horror genre. Red Barrels has expertly capitalized on the desire for social horror experiences, while the live-service aspect guarantees ongoing support and content updates. With its familiar yet gripping gameplay mechanics, The Outlast Trials is a must-play for those seeking a truly terrifying cooperative adventure. Brace yourselves for an unforgettable and horrifying journey into the unknown.

GOTY - Weak dialogue for a wider audience but as an car enthusiast this game is a must! Absolutely stunning visuals and super detailed car models from a huge selection of vehicles. Driving physics with a controller feel amazing, even if you're not the racing game type of player. Only real downside as of doing this review are the multiplayer issues, meaning friends in a convoy disappear and reappear on a constant basis, also the online events such as 'Horizon Arcade' are barely able to be completed since some servers are just plain empty or other drivers are not visible. I would say that the latter problem will be fixed pretty soon due to being such a newly released title. Optimization wise FH5 is probably one the best games released this year considering the graphics, but that wasn't that difficult in 2021, but props where props are due, 'Playground Games' did an amazing job on this new sequel in the 'Horizon' series.

Post Patch (December): 'Horizon Arcade' seems to be somewhat fixed due to it now being scaled down to the amount of players participating in the event which means they are achievable solo fairly easily. Convoys were patched as well, there's no disappearing issue, however either the convoy leader or the members can't see each other completely. Will probably still need some patience for this to work solid. - Fixed!

First Expansion - Hot Wheels: This is one of the best DLC's I've ever played in any game! If you've never got to experience it in Forza Horizon 3 like me, definitely grab it for FH5.

This brings back so many good memories from POSTAL 2! Yeah, this game at this state feels like a pre-alpha experience and it is but I think the developers are going in the right direction. Can't wait to play this once full release hits! Don't actually buy it if you think you'll get a full game, because at this state, it's all about helping out the devs first.

Usually I'm the type of guy that either writes a review when the game really caught my attention and delievered or it's just not up to normal standards. Ever since I saw footage back when Crytek announced this on the E3 I liked the idea of the game but didn't follow its progress since it got quite silent. Now it went live on Steam in early alpha stage and it caught my eye instantly. I actually told myself I was never ever going to buy a EA game ever again since a lot of them just didn't keep up with the general progress and development. Performance being one of the more severe reasons. 'Hunt: Showdown's' performance is not optimized by any means and anything lower than a GTX 1070 will probably get you more disappointed since this is a First Person Shooter (FPS) after all. My system is pretty beefy and even I get occasional dips and to be honest with you I'm pretty fine with it. Usually I don't play games that dip under the magic number '60'. Now you might think why is he even playing this? Well..the gameplay and whole mechanics behind it really got me hooked. This is probably Crytek's last chance at saving themselves and this would be a huge loss for the gaming industry if this is not the hoped breaktrough. Crytek is known for their benchmarks dressed as games (graphics beeing the main emphasis) by publishing graphics that are years ahead or atleast way above average. With this game however they seem to go a different path, not in relation to graphics but originality and mechanics in a multiplayer game. The moment I first booted 'Hunt' I was already suprised by its overall appeal and thinking this is actually just an alpha! I bought the game together with a good friend of mine so I suggest getting this with a buddy of yours since playing with randoms might get you a varying experience. The first few hours might be a little frustrating since there is no tutorial and you get thrown in the ring immediatly and end up losing a lot of money and hunters. I don't want to get too detailed on what the whole game is about since there's a lot of information on this already covered. All I can say is it does get addicting pretty fast. The reason why I bought this already instead of waiting for its full release is because I admire Crytek and think they deserve my support by trying to bring something completely new and fresh into the gaming industry. This game just feels good because it's something you've never played before with the awesome combination of PvP and PvE. The reward system is fair and just every so small detail about the mechanics are super balanced when it comes to tactical decisions. Yes, I know there are a lot of campers and sometimes it gets frustrating but once you get the hang of it it's not that bad. Really looking forward to what this game will bring us, and I'm quite sure this will make a positive impact in the PC gaming community once full release hits. The progress is there and the main idea is brilliant and I'm happy to see something new. Definitely one of the top games this year, no doubts. If a dev reads this, keep up the astonishing work, I believe in this game and its ideas, and reallly think this will be successful.

PS: The new map Lawson Delta is awesome!

DiRT..ahh good old DiRT. I used to play every single game of this franchise back in the day. While there were some UP and DOWNS, DiRT always managed to stay true to itself and I like that. I know and understand why several people give this a neutral or even bad reputation, just because of the fact that it's actually completely different to DiRT Rally. In my humble opinion DiRT 4 is better. Let me explain to you. You see DiRT Rally is a real simulation and DiRT 4 is kind of a mix between a sim and an arcade game (in a good way). If you're somebody like me that doesn't have one of the latest racing wheels and enjoys to play games with a controller than DiRT 4 is the best rally game out there. I enjoyed DiRT Rally aswell but just not as much because after you struggle from track to track trying to beat your recent time by just a few hundredth seconds is a pain in the..well you know. Let alone the fact that you can choose your own steering style in DiRT 4 is just fantastic. Both good games but if you're looking for a DiRT Rally sequel (2) than I'll have to disappoint you. If you loved the prequels like DiRT 2 and DiRT 3, go ahead and buy this pearl. Hope this helps a few lads out there and don't always get distracted by some reviews..trust me, this game is a masterpiece. The sound, steering, graphics. surroundings and physics are top notch. No need for music if you have all the music from the roaring engines with their beatiful anti-lag.

Im on a decent laptop and all I can say is, dont buy this game unless you really have a high end system! The game itself is ok but nothing special compared to the mod at this state! Im not saying this game is bad, all I am trying to say is that the engine from DayZ is both CPU and GPU intense! I will be waiting until its finished or atleast hitting Beta-phase to see if its better optimized!
