Its aight but somehow i cant help but feel like this game attempted more , while acomplishing less then previos entries
side scrolling section very quickly became an afterthough , peaking in chapter 2 .
i feel like thay wanted to do more with map exploration via the side scrolling , and yet somehow the exploration was way better in previos chapters wwith simply chosing a direction

also this might be my personal bias but i think the ghosts in earlier games were better....

still tho , good game i had fun

This game continues the trend started by dark souls 3 , which is to make enemy movesets spinning anime attacks , random flailing instead of actually readable patters , and in general after 75 hours for me personaly it is a collosal dissapointment. If u consider Dark Souls 3 to be the worst souls game in the series - u wont find any improvenments here, more of the same.

a lot of boss fights i encountered in this game , u have to fight 3 to 4 times , exept the difficulty of the encounter is artificially increased by making them do more damage and have more health

on top of that a lot of boss fights in this game are made harder by making u fight multiple enemies at once, which is honestely baffeling given how the engine of this game is designed for one on one encounters.

dissapointing and tiresome .

Fiine fiiine , it is a good game but my criticism still stand

Look if you are looking for a story set in the WoD - this is a pretty good place. Definatly no point in playing it before the previous entry , but i had a lot of fun exploring the idea of a Lasombra jumping the political hoops of Camarilla. If you do find the concept interesting - this is for you

If you are a fan of digimon - this is like a full season of digimon anime packed in to a game. The game itself is fairly easy and is mostly story driven, gameplay is fun and surprisingly not grindy , in fact his is probably the first digimon game i am aware of that you can beat without grinding at all. I do have to add that it is extremely easy and if you are looking for a deep and puzzling turn bazed combat akin to Final Fantasy or Pokemon - you will not find it here , you will go through most encounters using autobatle.

Spoilers

Not bad, but the ride is bumpy. Starts great but ends on a low note. The graphix and the art direction is nice , but the story isnt anything speciall , and it doesnt really raise any intrigue . At some point your just start walking around seeing in what new ways the reality will warp around your main charecter.

and then there is a hiding mechanic. Why is it here ? the monster litteraly WARPS THE REALITY AROUND YOU IN A HOUSE FLOATING IT THE MIDDLE OF TEH ENDLESS VOID. Why would you sully the expirience with teh undercoocked hiding mechanic ?

What is especially sad about this is that in the final level/section thay introduced the possesion mechanic , which i think was far more entertaining and well implimented then the absolutely pathetic attempt at hiding mechanic. Speccialy when the monster spawns OUTSIDE OF THE MAP and kills you through the wall. Amazing.

What bothers me the most here is that the monster seems incredibly inconsistent. At first it seems like he is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with your , killing you at his own leasure, and you can't really do anything about it - which is good , it is tence , you don't know what he ll do next. But then you find out you can hide from him . Sooo...Is the monster hunting you or is he ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with you ??? you can't have both , you are either ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or on the run.

Returning back to the possesion mechanic , it fit teh general theme of the monster faaaar better then hiding mechanic and with certain scripted event would actually make it feel more threatening , reinforcing the theme that the monster is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with you .

tl:dr - average
