Tryhard vs Competitive
"That guy just killed me! Tryhard!"

Tryhards are players who follow the meta, the whole meta, and nothing but the meta. They go non-stop to win and will mercilessly kill everything in their way.

Competitive Players, however, while playing to win they will at least do things such as respect friendlies or mix things up with their loadouts.


Keep in mind that before diagnosing a player with "tryharditis", consider the following:
Did you provoke them?
Are you denying them from completing their objective?
Did you get in their way?
Are you maybe just in the crossfire? (Mostly for Friendlies)
Did you startle them? (Mostly for Friendlies)
Are they new and just don't know any better?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then they may not be a tryhard. Keep in mind that this is a game with victory conditions, so don't get mad at people playing to win.
