I don't often feel the need to review a game, but I feel as if it is essential in this case.

A Good Base with Major Mistakes

My big concern first: This needs to be stand-alone (preferably free with a cosmetics-only store). If this is not standalone, there will never be enough players and the game mode will die. That would be an absolute tragedy.

The game is well made and there is clearly time put into it. It attempts to maintain similarity to the base game and franchise in an interesting 4v1 mode. There are two main problems that stick out. Clunkyess and queue times. While some reviews and comments state that the queues are fixed, they are not. I waited 11 minutes for a survivor match less than 5 hours before the posting of this review. The game is pretty clunky, due to it trying to stick with the same control scheme as the story mode. Here are some pros and cons:

Pros:
+ Fast-paced gameplay
+ Interesting Puzzles (Excited to see other maps)
+ Monsters individually are balanced well to player strength (Read cons if this one confuses you)
+ Well balanced currency system for survivors
+ Interesting Survivor abilities
+ Soundtrack rocks
+ Hearing the Mastermind over the PA is spooky!
+ Very cool control the monster ability
+ Door locking and turning off light mechanics

Cons:
- M A T C H M A K I N G, seriously. Fix this.
- Controls need to work better for Survivors, it just feels wrong in a time-based game for you to need to try to figure out how your inventory works and use your mouse to click inventory management buttons like drop or equip.
- You shouldn’t be able to place monsters so close to the players, close, but not THAT close. They tried to avoid this by making all monsters have a spawning animation, and it is part of the Mastermind’s strategy to place the monsters so they won’t get destroyed too quick, but it still feels a little cheesy to place so many so close.
- Boss monsters (Tyrant) could use a small nerf.
- Clunky and slow camera (Mastermind) movement.
- No skill challenge to escape the monsters’ grasp (QT event)

TLDR:
Fix matchmaking, make survivor easier with a better inventory system, lightly nerf mastermind spawning, Make it FTP, or standalone.

Early Access Review
I felt the need to write this review as there were quite a few other reviews I'd like to address, and I don't believe they are painting this game in an accurate light.

Starting of with the elephant in the room: "This game feels like a clicker game" or the like.

I can see where this critique came from. In this games first stages of development it essentially was a clicker game of collecting parts. As it has grown they heard our feedback and worked on a great manager system. While there are still a few problems with the early game feeling like a more complex clicker game, they are working on it. I would suggest that the CEO work as a manager with no speed boost? Then add some other interesting early game activity to manage. That would alleviate the feeling of grind. Clicker game isn't accurate, a bit of a slog is more so.

Another problem is that the features system feels a bit restrictive:
I understand you want to add some essentially progression milestones (not the official in-game milestones) that make it feel substantial when you add or upgrade a new feature. The problem is, it feels like the upgrades and features are too minimal early on to feel good. It takes a while to generate the parts, but the payoff could be better. (This is where I'd recommend another activity to keep players busy and maybe reward discounts on upgrades?)

Overall this game is good fun. Yes it strays from the boundaries of 'management' or tycoon, but that's okay. I would rate this game a solid 9/10 just because of the very active dev team (a very small team at that), who listens to all these reviews. Keep it up.

One of the best games of modern gaming history.
With nearly 1000 hours on the game, playing and replaying the main content, then expanding with an uncountable and well supported hoard of mods this game delivers content on content.

EA Review!!
------

I LOVE the concept for this game. I want very much to play it, and like most I don't have forever to spend waiting for a lobby WITH PLAYERS to open up. Unfortunately this game does not have many. The main problems that I saw in my unfortunately short stay in this game were; The controls for this PC game were made for an Xbox controller. That is a HUGE problem. If you were intending on making this game for the xbox right off the bat that would be OK. If it was a major part of your design that is a problem. Another MAJOR issue is the resolution and navigability of the game, good news is movement is smooth and does not seem to be buggy. I can see the balance in the game, and the characters are creative and fun. One problem I have when people review games that are VERY early access is they don't really see the full potential of the game. It has wonderful potential but you are scaring players away with these flaws. To help you I will warrant a thumbs up for the potential. This looks like a game I could spend time with.
