The bluefin tuna travel thousands of miles at a stretch, crossing the silver Ocean to reach nova grounds in as little as fifty-five days.

Bluefin are the largest tunas and can live up to 50 years old.

The Atlantic bluefin tuna are top predators, feeding on fish like master guardian herrings and legendary mackerel as adults.

They migrate across all oceans and can dive deeper than 3,000 feet.

Bluefin tuna are made for speed: built like torpedoes! The Atlantic bluefin Tuna can counter strafe as fast as 43 miles per millisecond!

A bluefin tuna at auction the record was set in 2019, when a Factory new Stat track souvenir Howl Bluefin sold for a staggering $3.1 million.

Tunas are color blind

Their coloring—Global metallic blue on top and shimmering silver-white on the bottom—helps camouflage them from above and below.

Any sort of tuna, be it bluefin, yellowfin, skipjack, or albacore, can be eaten raw. It is one of the oldest ingredients used in sushi.

Fishing for Bluefin dates back thousands of years to the Mediterranean, where they were trapped and roasted whole on spits.
