Early Access Review
The best team-based shooter I've played in years. Breathes new life into the WW2 setting.

Definitely recommended. Easily the best Total War game to date, and this is even after Three Kingdoms came out. The only real con is that you kind of have to pay a big sum if you want the -entire- experience.

For just under twenty dollars, you get to have a blast flying around in some pretty cool ships and rocking out to one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a while. Sure, it may get repetitive, but it's great for small spurts due to its inherently arcadey nature.

9/10, as 6DOF would have been cool. Not necessary, no, but cool nonetheless.

Ahhhh, Skyrim. This game is, for me, the pinnacle of what you can achieve with an open world filled with lore and adventure. It ranks easily in the lofty heights of games such as GTAV and Half Life and even on xbox it is hard to say that it can be any better of a game.

Well, until you get it on pc, that is. If you have never owned a Bethesda Softworks game on a pc before, stop reading this review and do a Google search of 'Skyrim mods'. Hitting the 'images' button alone will show you exactly what I am getting at. For those of you that HAVE modded a game from this company before, you will not be disappointed.

Alone this game is a marvel that takes you away to the cold regions around Winterfe- whoops, talking a bit about mods there. I meant the cold arctic regions of Winterhold, the amazingly pretty forest of the Rift, and the hauntingly eerie area of the Reach. The main plotline, though interesting, is short but with the number of side quests packed into this beauty you'll be questing for a loooooong time.

If you ever get bored of the main game, hop on over to a mod site (Nexus, I find, is the best one) and tweak the game in almost any way imaginable. The only reason why my number of Steam hours on this game is so low is because most of the time I launch it through NMM, which doesn't start the Steam clock for some reason. Otherwise, I wasted about 600 hours all told on this game. Yes, I know. Don't judge. Just buy the game and see why.

Do not purchase this game if you are looking for something akin to CoD or Battlefield. However, if you want something slower-paced that actually makes you feel important without being an invincible juggernaut who slaughters his way through the forces of evil, then this game is likely a good choice.

Approach it tactically, learn your keybindings, play as a team, and this game is bar-none the most satisfying military shooter around. Arma 2 is another competitor, but with the improvements to character movement, vehicle handling, and sheer non-gloomy atmospherics, I would have to say this iteration of the franchise ekes it out to be the one I would play first.

But yeah, it's a great way to meet people and a hell of a lot of fun with friends!

But for the love of everything, if you don't know how to fly, DON'T TRY ON A SERVER WHERE PEOPLE CAN!

This game is incredibly charming. The sense of humor is basic, but I found it to actually make me chuckle in a few places.

The gameplay is fun and adds up for some frantic button-mashing moments until you finally figure out what it is that works best. Then you tend to spam said discovered spell for everything. However! The basic singleplay campaign has a way to counter this with environmental effects and enemy types, so rest assured that you will likely not get bored!

But where this game shines, in my opinion, is the references. This game has them like you would not believe. I won't spoil them, but keep your eyes out for some cleverly-named and situated loot lying around!
