For anyone who has played the majority of or hell even one of Nintendo's Smash Bros series.... You will be disappointed. This is a pale imitation.

This game is fantastic. Each level is a puzzle in a way and playing through the game takes a bit of planning and strategy on a macro level. When you jump onto the level your tactical skills and puzzle solving will be put to the test. A lot of different mechs to try and you can even customize your team to include any mechs you'd like which is a nice touch. The music is fantastic. Hook up some great speakers or headphones and prepare to feel like immersed. Frankly its the music that does it for me. Gets your heart racing alil bit. Then you hear the victory music when you complete an island perfectly and you feel that wave of relief like phew blew through that one without a scratch. If you like this game check out FTL. also fantastic. If you like FTL you will likely enjoy this as well. I give it two thumbs way way up

There are some great things here. Able to put units into ur own control groups. Awesome. Base building again. Cool. Scaling of units is much better as well.
Are there some valid points about bad parts sure, but the biggest thing is its just different thats all. I mean hell in DOW2 the retreat command was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken but we didnt give that scathing reviews. Play it on a demo or something and see for urself im pretty upset i let bad review keep me from getting this for so long. The art style tho is kinda cartoonish or something idk how to describe it but i see where ppl are like hey this doesnt look like 40k. But small detail to over look when the epic battles rage and someone calls down an awesome ability and whips u off the map. shred a small tear and then be like holy hell that was cool.
And for the love of god... its not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOBA jesus. The maps have "lanes" sure. Basically ways to get the objectives to destroy. If the pressene of these "lanes" was not there it would be easy to out manuever the objectives and just kill them willy nilly. But lets remember there are no creeps there are no singular heros that buy items and level up and gain power by collecting gold and what not. U do not right click around the map with ur heros to kill things as many portray the action to be. Its an RTS. u must build base hold choke points captire resources. You know the things that make a game and RTS typically. The power core thing was them trying something different. If u dont like it fine play annhilation but dont give it a thumbs down

Buy now if you want while its on sale. def worth the 6 bucks. Um dont listen to ppl who say the online is dead... it kinda is but if u search by number of players theres a couple serves with ppl in it def enough to play with. Brutally hard, weapons r ok not great, ship editting is fun (no info on when u unlock stuff literally unlock stuff inbetween levels almost at random) 6 new cockpits 6 booster nd chasis is fixed at 1 but i think they prob gonna make more? no info on line about leveling or unlocks so its annoying wen u really want one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ engine. prob like a 8/10

The game has a lot to offer but those that enjoy a lot of micro level empire upgrades and management maybe disappointed. the upgrade systems are pretty straight forward and each city has its own sort of tech tree you can progress through. The empire upgrades can be researched or found or earned as you progress through the game. I enjoy this straightforward approach as reading pages of tech trees and getting bogged down in the details is not my thing. What i enjoy most is the character customization. Very fun designing your hero, lord, ruler in the way you would like him to be. What i do not enjoy is some of the mechanics in tactical combat. when units with multiple creatures, solders, etc. are damaged some of them will fall. Very cool. However this does not effect the stats of the unit. It will still have the same dmg output for example. I just find it a little confusing. The line of sight mechanic is also one of those things that is finicky and can get so confusing/frustrating. The Ai sometimes behaves strangely, but this does not mean they are not challenging at higher difficulties. All and all fun 4x experience if you enjoy more of a tactical and fantasy/magic driven game play. Definitely a lot of ways to play and many hours of game play ahead.
