The game is great. I don't understand why people are complaining about no loot drops - this isn't the instant gratification simulator like Diablo has become.
It's kind of nice having to fumble around sorting gear out, and I think it's on purpose to not flood the game straight away.
It does feel that the movement speed is a little slow, but you do get used to it.
I was originally put-off by the negative reviews, but this feels like a more polished, QoL extended PoE1.
I've never been a "souls" fan, learning attack patterns and timings has never been my strong suite, but I don't know how - it seems smooth enough to be able to pull of consistently.

Skills are a little lack-luster, with about half of them being unavailable for EA.
You can still make your own fun with them ofc, just a weird change I did not expect.
The addition of gold is nice, and also massive props for the whole Purchases in PoE1/PoE2 thing.

I'm sure I'll boil the blood of avid ARPG enjoyers, but this is what D3 would have been - if they kept with the pacing and game design of D2- albeit, more grim, somehow.
Also a side note, the Voice acting, it's top-notch.
The only thing I'd give a thumbs down on, is the Trial of sekhema . Absolutely tedious.
I have no issue with dodging hits (Melee character, and rarely take hits), but when you do in this content, it's reduces your "active time."
That, cobbled together with my connection to the server(AUS) being a bit choppy - makes it a complete nightmare to deal with. I don't know what the solution to it is - I just hope it gets another look over.
