god aweful

i started it up and it lagged trough the cut sceans

in game the screen jumped all over the place

got my friend to also preorder on the promis of co-op

now there is none

vfeel very ripped off

I first played X-Com in the 90's , it was such an amazing one of a kind game - i played it alone and with friends (taking it in turns) - after finishing that and terror from the deep i was at a loss for years looking for something similar

syndicate/ syndicate wars filled that gap


It's now 2015, and finally i find a game that has the game play, mechanics , enjoyment and the touch of magic thouse original turn based games had

Everything in this game pulled me in, and would never let me go. The music. The atmosphere and the feeling of survival horror (much like the original resident evil games)

The pressure put on your shoulders when trying to save as many civilians as possible during a Terror mission without sacrificing your favorite soldiers. the constant task of impressing the council to keep your funding while acting on a limited budget and running the base and of course the epic tactical in game command of your troops

And, above all else, the incredible depth of the tactical options that are offered to you throughout the game. Both in combat situation and on the Geosphere's

This is the kind of game that involves you so much that you start to care and respect for your troops. I know their names and what they are capable of. when they die ... i morn

To me, X-COM will always be the definition of fun , and this new incarnation is every bit as good as you would hope for

if you liked the original you MUST get this game
