This game is very complex at first, but by god when you learn to play it. This is by far one of the coolest RTS games i've ever had the pleasure of playing. When I first started playing I was overwhelmed and was going to refund it, but I wanted to give it a chance and kept with it. I lost 5 matches to AI before I slowly but surely learned how to play. After every new discovery there was something even more epic waiting to be found out. At first its the space station construction then the shipyards, next research trees, trade, remote control first-person of your units and even send infantry units to invade other space ports and space stations. This game is everything i've wanted in an RTS. And the space battles are beautifully done. This game is truly a hidden gem, after I grew to love it I got some friends to play it. It has been one of the best, most interesting and epic RTS games we've played.However a big problem is the fact that you will need to have people to play with prior to starting a game. Because while this game is great the playerbase is quite low and it has been hard to find servers with more than 2 people.(It may have increased in popularity but at the time I played it hadnt) I highly recommend giving this game a chance.
