Super fun, just got updated as well. I love chess and I love video games, so this combo is fantastic. It's a new spin on chess and I'm all for it.

Used to be quite fun and while the gameplay is still there, I just can't recommend the game anymore. The main frustration I've had has been since the game has gone free to play. I used to buy the car packs all the time. Knight Rider, Ghostbusters, and Hotwheels were awesome additions to the game. The game itself was 20 bucks which was completely reasonable. Now, you pay that for a single goal explosion. If I invested in the game like I used to, I'd be spending hundreds to get the content. Even the loot boxes weren't terrible as you got keys quite often through holiday events. I maybe spent around $20 on keys and got plenty of great items. Anthems were a nice addition and the first couple of seasons since Epic bought it were quite fun. New maps were finally added but I've found them to be quite bland and low effort compared to what was released before. Then the required Epic account and now the game is removed on Steam; terrible business all around. I'll still play but it's not as fun always wondering if the developers care anymore. The Esports scene was so much fun to watch but even that has lost it's luster over time. Also, I feel the servers have gotten much worse and the lag can be ridiculous at times. Tournaments can be fun but it's a tough sell for a game you can't even buy on Steam anymore.

Have to give this game a thumbs down. Bought it at full price to support an indie studio with a great idea right before they sold out to Epic. I was patient with Rocket League but after this newest season (season 6) I am tired of it. They are requiring an Epic account to play which is eerily similar to Rocket League and is most likely a prelude to them removing it from Steam altogether. I played season four to completion but ultimately the game is not worth it given the hassle of dealing with Epic. I just want to play video games and not have a thousand different accounts. To be honest, I would say just buy a copy of Mario Party if you're looking for your minigame fix. I'll probably still play this game from time to time but the initial excitement has faded as I have to wonder what bad business decision they'll make next. They sold it as a benefit, but honestly, who in their right mind would have a game downloaded on Steam and be like, "Hey, I really want to play this on my Epic account, I'm so glad there's crossplay". Not to mention Epic exclusive content for the game to pull the base away from Steam (where they found their success) and it's time to put my foot down. Real shame this is the gaming world we find ourselves in nowadays. I miss the days where I could be a Nintendo Fanboy and fight my friends for which console was better but now we have mega corporations throwing money around to cause chaos in what has been a relatively enjoyable purchasing market. All I can say is you don't see people getting mad at good old games or humble bundle.

Early Access Review
Fantastic game; still in early-access but relatively feature complete. I bought slay the spire on a whim and loved it. I looked at monster train and thought it was cool but didn't really scream out to me like slay the spire did. Griftlands I bought because Klei has given me most of my favorite games and my God, the game is so much fun. Combat consists of battle and negotiate with two paths for card upgrades. Characters play quite different and have unique stories with branching paths. Really glad I bought this and the best part is it can only get better with time.

It's an amazing game. The last time I meditated continuously was for 9 months and from 5 to 10 minutes a day. With this game I'm nearing the 150 day mark and typically do 20 minutes a day. The game taught me a few techniques from writing down words that spring to mind (to clear clutter) to breathing interval exercises to help with anxiety and even an exercise to refocus your mind should it wander through a repetition phrase. The game has a story which I found enjoyable and sagely. As you progress with your meditations, you gain new chapters to the story and grow your "Playne". Trees will grow, flowers will bloom, and birds will fly the more you meditate. The audio is descent and provides a range from ambient to wind as well as rain and thunderstorms. Hear a fire crackle, crickets chirp, waves lap, and rivers flow. Beat the game and you plant a tree in real life as well as unlock additional content. It has kept me motivated to meditate and it's fun simply having a place to breathe in this chaotic world.

Since people like to complain, I'll write a review. This dlc is fun and came about just when I thought civ 6 was done. I played my first 10 hour civ game in a long while with lady six sky, building my cities close to one another and taking advantage of the observatories. I like to turtle and my nation remained untouched for centuries, each city surviving total nuclear devastation. I was able to build the first satellite and escape to distant horizons, netting my first win on emperor difficulty. This second game I'm playing as Gran Columbia and I've never had so much success during wartime. His perks are wonderful and I wouldn't call them overpowered. Each nation has pros and cons and he is simply a strong nation. Pricing is fair as each leader needs to be designed, voiced, and animated and price is consistent with leader packs of the past. My friend doesn't own the dlc and he was able to play with meteor showers, the new resources, and fires. Getting ready to try the doomsday scenario but I'm excited. While Civ 6 is my favorite Civ, having put hundreds of hours into Civ 5, one aspect I feel has been lacking was scenarios and game modes. Battle Royale was fun, but this dlc pack is exactly what I want after gathering storm. More leaders, new wonders, districts, and scenarios; what could be better. I highly recommend; it's fun waiting and getting excited for planned content and here's to secret societies in the next release!

I played the game for a bit and while I had some fun, it's not a game I see myself playing to the extent of other brawlers. The controls feel a little too loose for my liking and the character rotations make it feel a little too gimmicky. Earning currency seemed fair if you play the game on a regular basis and I saw no issue with spending a few bucks on an outfit or character should I have chosen to do so. That said, I gave the game a little over 2 hours and haven't felt the need to come back to the game. The gameplay just didn't mesh well and the hits never felt satisfying as they have in other brawlers I've played.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience; little bit tower defense, mostly roll boulder down obstacle course in an attempt to siege the enemy's castle. Historically inaccurate humor where you run around as Atlas made me smile throughout the entire campaign. Art design is phenomenal and each level is a treat to play through. Throw in the ability to play with friends and you have a game that is a winner in my heart.

Absolute blast to play. First entrance to the series and I didn't feel lost at all. Watch "the history of DMC" in the menu and you more or less know everything you need to know to jump in and start having fun. Traditional hack and slash. Clear one area, move to the next, unlock new abilities gradually and upgrade. Orbs are aplenty and thank the heavens that there is absolutely no grind to the game. Also, I miss 10 hour campaigns, so thank you Capcom for bringing them back in style. And if Capcom keeps this up, I might start getting hyped for game releases once more. Deluxe edition feels like an upgrade rather than taking features away (I bought standard). Beautiful music, gorgeous graphics and intricately designed environments, stellar combat, and a funny, engaging story and I'm in love. I have not had this much fun since the RE2 remake. If nothing else comes out this year, I'll die a happy man. A must buy for any fan of triple A companies still making triple A games.

Getting sick and tired of all the hate Civ 6 have gotten. I played Civ 5 in marathon, 10 hour sessions with my buddies when I was in high school and during the summers in-between my years of College. while it was the first game I bought for my PC, it was far from perfect. Then gods and kings came out and I had a blast. Then brave new world, and it made the game feel complete. When Civ 6 came out, it felt feature complete. Religion, spies, districts, no unit stacking, and a technology system that felt organic and dependent on your actions throughout the world. Want a harbor? Learn to cultivate the sea and thereforth. It was a blast. Then rise and fall came out and the changes were pleasant. Spending your time trying to avoid a dark age is a blast and coming out of a dark age into a heroic age feels like an accomplishment. Free cities and the loyalty system added just enough to switch it up. And gathering storm? I was wondering how they could make the game better. Climate change is fun and it simply adds another layer. If you want super storms and to be terrified of mother nature, crank the slider to 4. Hurricanes, droughts, blizzards. And world congress prevents my friend from completely nuking me into oblivion. So all in all, civ 6 is the best it's ever been with the gathering storm expansion.
