This game is awesome, you have to give it to Dodge Roll they sure are inventive and original - take the mechanics of the first game and take into a totally different genre. This game reminds me a lot of a Taito game - something like Bubble Bobble or Rainbow Islands in the sense it's just different. Roguelike / platformer / bullet hell - it just mishes and mashes a load of genre elements together and somehow seems to work. Certainly fun and certainly different. As good as Enter the Gungeon - no, but unfair in some ways as this is a different genre.

All in all original and inventive. For the price definitely worth getting.

Very solid metroidvania. Ignore the main stream media their reviews on this game are way off the mark this isn't as polished or as good as Dead Cells but it's very good.

Reminds me of Darkest Dungeon but has held my interest a lot longer, there seems to be less content in here than Darkest Dungeon and already seeing repeats of procedurally generated stuff but it's well designed and a fun game play loop to play and experience. Certainly a good rogue like and is very accessible.

Cute little platformer roguelike / roguelike with procedural generation and game play mechanics, only played with mouse and keyboard but can definitely say this is a game which you will keep coming back to for runs and playthroughs. Simple but fun and the gameplay mechanics work. Recommended.

Nice graphical touches, very slick little rogue style game but the gameplay here is fairly straight forward and is a grind. Worth the price for the time it will take to play through the story mode but once that is done it is debatable as to whether you will want to stick with this again.

Tactical element here as monsters have different attacks and ways of doing things and obviously forces you to try and find or pick the right strategy to deal with each situation. Fairly simple, good coffee break style game and a game you can dip in and out of. For the price it is recommended but is not a "deep roguelike" - could do with more stuff but definitely worth picking up if you like the genre.

Jumpdrive / Paragon has had an update to Alpha 11.

Is it worth getting? I would say so, yes, based on this update and the way the game seems to be heading now. This update isn't a revolution but it's a good step in the right direction for this game, the guys developing this have made quite a lot of progress in the space of a month. New ships, new cockpits, new space graphical effects with nebulas, a better autopilot, a better GUI for the autopilot, and just generally better polish and even slightly better frame rate.

This game is making sure and steady progress but you have to remember that this game is ALPHA which means a lot of the features that you want to see here are not finished yet.

What you have got is a Space simulation where you can pretty much go and do whatever you want, it is a sandbox, it is just that not all of the gameplay content and sandbox flavours are in their yet as the developers are adding to the games content as it develops.

What you do get is a MASSIVELY improved and MASSIVELY polished up version of Pioneer with lots of things which Pioneer will never have. This game features a complete graphical overhaul, a complete audio overhaul and also a complete ship and assets overhaul. The game feels polished, it has a more simplistic but refined UI and it is making progress in the right ways which makes development for this game actually feel exciting now.

Is the game worth £10? I would agree. Yes. If you liked Frontier you pretty much have the same game here as Frontier although the combat as of yet is not as developed as say other areas like trading and such. Though the devs have said they are going to be working on the combat area of the game.

Jumpdrive is a work in progress but it is developing, and if the updates develop at the rate which this one has, and the way in which Adel and co are doing then basically this game is going to develop pretty quickly.

Looking forward to Alpha 12.
