Fantastic atmospheric game with pretty nice pixel graphics about exploring strange lands and building up a kingdom from nothing (and also defending it).

The gameplay is almost completely wordless and tutorial-less, leaving it up to you to explore the world, see how entities interact, and learn what does what, as well as come up with strategies. I am a sucker for these kinds of exploration games that tell you nothing and leave you wondering and wandering.

I have completed two of the three non-DLC campains, and I had a blast.

I do have to mention that I encountered a few bugs and inconsistencies. Nothing game-breaking, but some of them are a little annoying. Some steam achievements seem to be broken and don't trigger when they should, and others trigger when they shouldn't. If steam achievements aren't important to you, then this obviously won't be an issue for you.

Won't spoil any further! Fully recommend this game, especially if you like exploring, if you like not knowing and then knowing, if you like pixels, strategy, and the base-building kind of tower defense.

Really fun, easy to pick up autobattler game. And super cheap, for what it has to offer!
You build a team of snake-dot-segments and fight through waves of pill-enemies.
It's really simple to understand and gets quite challenging at the higher difficulties, which is where the strategizing depth this game allows when building your team of segment dots really shines. There's a luck factor as well in that the units and items you are presented with are, well, random. But that adds sauce to it, in my opinion. If you've played roguelikes, you know the drill with randomness.
It's really fun trying out different units + items combinations every run, and seeing if they work or not.
And when you make that perfect build that deletes everything, whether willingly or not, it's very satisfying to watch it do work.
Full recommendation.

One of the best exploration games I've ever played. Not a puzzly kind of exploration that involves backtracking, however, since you're very likely to finish it fast and with few "distractions", if you don't stray from the main path.
And if you like more in-depth exploration, to find all there is to find, then this gem provides quite the fair package.

It's a very relaxing hike to the mountaintop (with a specific objective other than hiking, I'll let you see that one for yourself), the graphics are delightfully pixelated but 3D, which is a take that's rarer, but they work real well here, in my opinion.
The soundtrack beautifully completes the relaxation package: it's dynamic, shifting smoothly from track to track and in intensity depending on the area of the mountain you're on and your actions and movement.

Your character, being a birb-person, has some flying capabilities, although initially it's just gliding. The flying mechanics and physics felt very real and natural, and very satisfying to play around with.

There's items to be found, side activities to be done, it's quite more than a simple hike, if you look around enough!
The other characters you find around are quite nice to listen to, and it's not just silly fun, there's some meaningful words to be found in their dialogue, or so I felt.

So, yeah! I thorougly enjoyed every aspect of this game, and enjoyed looking for every little detail and completing all the achievements! I hope to find more relaxing gems like this one in the future! Cheers.

The best Idle Game I've ever played. You don't need fancy shmancy graphics to get that raw joy that is seeing numbers go up, it's even aptly titled!

Just when you think you have enough upgrades for your base numbers, you discover an upgrade to the upgrade. The rabbit hole never seems to end, which is basically any Idle Game fan's dream. And every one of said upgrades is unique and humorous enough to be different! While doing the same thing. Which we all love, right?

And the premium currency element isn't even pushy at all, rewarding you with more and more of it the more you play and commit to the idling.

Have I mentioned that the flavor text (which is basically the entire game, numbers are text too) is incredibly humorous? Yes, I have, and I'll repeat it. Not that it needed to be, but it's definitely a plus, and there's quite a few references to other stuff sprinkled in there, always fun to see.

So, if you're a fan of the genre, I fully recommend it :D

E puoi morire schiantandoti sui muri. Praticamente uguale. Quindi non so che stai aspettando. So benissimo quanto tempo hai speso su quel giochino.

Even from just the screenshots, you can probably tell that this game just emanates, oozes charm from every corner.
Creepy Castle is a simple retro RPG. But I say "simple" gameplay-wise, because it has a good story (or stories, I should say), and while the gameplay is simple in terms of difficulty (or at least in the 3 scenarios I played), it's oh so fun.

The battles are composed of fun little action/reflex minigames that fit in SO well with the atmosphere.

The castle is, in fact, in some cases, creepy.

It has dozens upon dozens of tracks of chiptuny goodness.

The characters are about as charming and sweet as honey covered in honey blended in a honey blender encased in honey.

Unlike most RPGs I found that replaying the game (even the same scenario) after finishing it is still enjoyable (that might just be me though).

Some life lessons can actually be learned.

There are some... interesting cameos.

The more you play it, the more you realize how deep it is.

The more you play it, the more you feel like a moth to a flame.

Just... come on, do yourself a favor and buy it!
Okay, fine. I'll let you decide. Just this time though.

Truly a hidden gem.

Instead of clicking on the "I'm feeling lucky" button on Google, try this game instead.
Then watch as all your hopes are crushed into a pile of mush.
Then you'll try again, but a seagull will kill you.
Then you'll try again, but *ahem* SOMEONE will steal your stars.
Then you'll try again, but you'll roll a number short than what you needed to, to be safe.
Then you'll try again, but someone will pull out from... somewhere... the card to shut you down.
Then you'll... oh? Level 50 already? Nice! Except... YOUR SKILLS DON'TMATTERRAAAAAGGHHHHHHHHAHFJOASHNFOASFN.

So, uh... yeah! I recommend it.
