Pretty enjoyable game, however I'd probably wait for a sale to pick this up.

EDIT: I just finished playing through the game and it's expansions in order so I figured I should put a little more effort into this review. Here we go.

So I'd have to say that ARK is my favorite game, it's been a huge part of my life over the last five(?) years. From the base gameplay, to RP, and whatever else inbetween, ARK has been a complete blast. It has it's flaws, poor performance, bugs, and some bad balance decisions (like nerfing creatures across the entire game because people in PvP were complaining). But still through it all it's a really great game.

The story is fairly interesting as well. Each of the story Arks have loads of explorer notes for you to find to kind of give you an idea of what happened before you arrived there which I think is super neat. I found myself wanting to learn more and more about the lore as I played on. Outside of all the story, there's still lots of fun to be had on unofficial or RP servers. I've had so many memorable experiences from it and I just can't recommend it enough. (I would stay away from official servers, never had fun on there.)

If the price is something that puts you off, the base game goes on sale for $10 whenever a typical steam sale comes around and that is an *incredible* deal.
