The game still retains the mechanics and puzzle solving that the previous entries mastered and I can safely say that it's all present in this package and polished to a good standard, although the horror aspect does feel quite cheap and lazy in some areas that heavily relies on jumpscares and loud noises. Not saying that this doesn't get a fright out of people but it makes Rebirth quite a lot like other horror games, instead of the approach The Dark Descent took with a lot of tension building and incredibly terrifying ambient sound. The amnesia games were never really known for being an experience that'll make you jump out of your seat or throw your headset, it's more of a game where you're constantly uncomfortable, freaked out and oblivious to whats going to happen around ever corner. If you're a fan of horror games i'd check it out, but if you've invested time into the previous installments you'll more than likely be disappointed.
