I have been following the development of this game for a while, and I'm so glad that I did.

Although this game is short. During the time that you spend playing, you are sucked in fully. I loved how daydreams were used as a sort of collectable and it felt very fitting to the player character.

I think that the most important achievement, which is what most drew me to this game, is how it manages to be an experience rather than what would be classically thought of as a game. You come out of playing it, relaxed and calm. I hope that this game bring peoples attention to the value of this genre, as it is one which i feel is not explored nearly enough and has possible tangible benefits to people in the real world.

In summery: I love this game because it is relaxing, atmospheric and charming. But I recommend it because it took a step in showing gamers another way to look at games.

I got this game pretty early after its steam release but I have been holding off on reviewing it because I was worried that I couldn't do it justice in a review. Pretty much from the second I launched this game I knew that it would be one of my favorite games in my library. For me the thing that keeps me coming back to this game is its versatility, you can play it and concentrate on getting a highscore or unlocking achievements, but you can just as easily play it casualy while watching netflix or listening to music. I used to find that I spent a lot of time searching through my library for the game I "Feel like playing" but Descenders fills that void for me of a game which I can play while concentraiting on something else while not being a boring clicker game.
