If you like Sins 1 you'll love Sins 2. Jumping straight into a match it feels like playing Sins 1 with all the quality of life features you were missing out on and beautiful modern graphics. None of the new gameplay mechanics felt out of place and the moving planets added a unique challenge to some of maps. In the first 7 hours neither me nor anyone in my party encountered any bugs and the game ran perfectly. Even when we fought a 3 way max fleet cap battle in one system there were no noticeable frame drops, stutters or lag.

The only complaint I have is occasionally the camera controls seem to focus in on dead space and pull you away from the system you were zooming in on but that is hardly an issue and hitting Q or E always resolved it and got me to where I meant to be looking.

Highly recommend picking up Sins 2 and can't wait for the total conversion mods to start coming out.

Almost 10 hours in after a little fine tuning you can get a stable 110-140 fps on 1440p medium settings using FSR+frame gen (3080ti 12600k 32gb ram). Me and my squad have blitzed through the starting missions and the game really shines once you get away from for team in the starting town. PvE is fun but the first PvP fights sealed the deal a solid game given this is an alpha.

It's battlefield with more battlefield moments than battlefield

I've been playing this game since open beta in 2012 and have over 5000 hours between steam and the stand alone client. So to say that I've dedicated a fair bit of my life in the last decade to this game is an understatement.

War Thunder does so much right in ways that few if any other games can compare. But it is constantly shot in the foot by greedy incompetent devs/publishers that can't see that the changes they make are actively hurting the game and its playerbase.

Admittedly I've never had a problem with making a profit as a free to play or premium player but the fact that the game balanced around a negative economy for the average player is irreconcilable.

Will I stop playing? Probably not, but having spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the last 10 years on this game. I can say that Gaijin won't see anymore money out of me as they continue down this path.
