👀 Very tricky but if you don't have performance issues, I'd recommend this, yea.

This game is very close to the ace attorney format; but its new mechanics make it well worth a play.

Celeste my beloved tbh.

Genuinely very solid fighter, nicely stylized.

Posting this review now because it's wild people see "Make the villains less explicitly nazis" and "stop posting pantyshots of kids" as a contentious issue.

Stylish, charming, a little bit too cheesy at times but that doesn't do anything to dampen a game which finally picks up where Necrodancer left off.

Games like BPM and NSR have tried to recreate that mixture of rhythm gaming and action genres- but nothing felt like it'd really succeeded until Hi-Fi Rush.

Big recommend.

Felt like the worst part of modern game design with the middle-tierest bits of Arkham game design.

Saying that "it isn't an Arkham Game, so don't critique it like one" is a weak defence for weak combat and weaker traversal design, performance and RPG mechanics. The inspiration is clear which makes the comparison to the better half of the Arkham games sting all the more.

Maybe worth a pickup in a year, on a sale, after a lot of patches.

A terrific addition to a terrific series.

The biggest change in the Monster Prom formula with enough customizability to get completely different feelings out of the player-dynamic in each run.

Also so much Polly content. We vibing.

Early Access Review
A solid transition from two to three dimensions. Many sequels wallow in the formula of their predecessor with only minor gameplay gimmicks to excuse a sequel.

Risk of Rain two uses the formula of its predecessor, completely revamps the gameplay, traverses the gap of genre (two to three dimensional shooting) whilst retaining its spirit and feeling fresh.
