Early Access Review
Alright so my first Impressions of EERIE2, I was a player of the original game EERIE. that game was an interesting concept and I liked the premise despite the janky movement and poorly translated story and lines. 7 out of 10. now with EERIE2, they've stepped up their stuff.

Graphics are pretty good game looks decent nothing wrong with that in particular.
Gameplay: this is a mixed bag. I love the guns and how they sound. they sound powerful and hit powerful. movement is similar to the first game tho the janky movement is gone and they added sliding I believe leaning was in the first one but can't remember. The AI is fine and responds well sometimes too well but it's more forgiving then the AI of the first game.

Guns are customized as they were in the first game tho the first game had more options for attachments and foregrips where as in this game the M4 is locked to a foregrip and can't be changed. it would also be nice to have the gun's name or a description of said gun when picked up otherwise I wouldn't know what gun I'm holding. I would like to see more interesting guns like QBZ 191 or QBZ 03 or LMG's etc. more attachments and actual working lasers. flashlight work but lasers do not.

Character model looks pretty good (Booba and Ass etc for those that want it lol) but seriously character models look way better then how they were in EERIE. hopefully there will be more outfits added for player characters like more tactical ones and or cool patches perhaps for them to wear etc. characters having abilities based off their in game traits is a good concept tho how this looks ingame I leave up to devs. Game looks promising so far.

here's where i get into the issues. and there are quite a few. some of which is early access problems others might be carryover from the first game.

First the sensitivity: why are vertical and horizontal not the same when you load up and even when you set them to the same zoom in sens is terrible and not tied to the actual rate put into the menu. it's very fast and should go to the spped the player has set. I've lost gunfights over this definitely needs tuning.

Second and imo a bigger issue that has me concerned: Too short early access and story isn't clear. this was a problem in the first game where the story was poorly translated and I had very little idea of what the story is or was and mission objectives often bugged out or weren't explained. but back to the second game, they fixed this with English voice acting and translation is better so a plus there but the story is still confusing even for those interested in Touhou. Why are we fighting Flandre? Who's Luna? Who's the character assigning us Missions? Why is Flandre referred to as Mom? who are the separatists mentioned? is there a war going on? what org do we represent? are we even in one What is ERRIE etc. these are all questions I had and likely could have been answered.........

Had the game lasted long enough to actually try to answer those questions. Early access is too short. that's not early access that's a demo you release as preview content and then keep the rest hidden until release. I'm actually annoyed it's that short because there's no reason for it. I assume there will be more content down the line but yeah that's not defensible under any circumstances. Also no inventory system as the first game had nor is there a factions system of sorts as was in the first one (at least in Early access this might change of course) Third Person Camera is too low and awkwardly placed. it seems low to the ground rather then at mid level height where I can shoot enemies comfortably.

Another thing: will there be Mod Workshop for this? because the tools not being in English or easy to access is why people avoided the Workshop for ERRIE. hopefully there will be more characters added to the game like Eirin or Reisen or Mokou etc there's potential here for this game to be really good compared to ERRIE but it needs alot more work before it can get to that point. I will recommend the game for fans of the first game. but new players should avoid until more content is placed in or given. especially given how short it is. If I'm being honest, the First game has more content then EERIE 2 does currently and that game is no longer being worked on.

as a First Impression, i like the game but there's too little content to give a rating and it's too short to justify Early access purchase. would only recommend to Touhou fans or players of the first game. not to newcomers. I hope the devs read this review I am still recommending the game just based off potential and that it has done some things better then the first game already. Sidenote: Devs have a link to their site where they take critique and advice. will link it here for others:
