THEY TURNED IT AROUND

Some issues that do need fixing before i can recommend the game:
- Optimisation...
- Be' lakor and Boris are LAZY additions to make it seem like there are many lords
- The survival battles are incredibly long drawn and very arcadey'
- The campagin seems very fast pased and you can't ignore the story (because you race the other factions), my provinces were the highest level after about 25 turns (although i have not played very much so i can't really tell how it is for every faction)
- Path finding issues
- The red UI (is is insanely red) is some of the worst i have seen. It is chinese mobile-game level
- The chaos realms are beautiful but just annoying to play in
- The rosters of the chaos factions are too small (DLC will "fix" this)

HOW are the reviews only "mixed"?... this game is as close to objectively bad as a game can be. It does what other paradox games but a lot (a looooot) worse. I will not spend a single cent on DLC before the base-game is fixed and i urge you to don't do it either. Paradox is not a small company anymore, they should do better

I don't like how paradox is focusing on immersion-packs rather than full-scaled DLC.

This immersion pack only makes orthodox rather OP and Russia slightly more fun to play

This DLC adds nothing of substance. A few new buttons but that is it.

- Orders have no drawbacks (other than the initial cost). They are literally just a button to click and then forget about

-Naval barages should be cheaper than normal artillery barages (like 50%) to make combatnavies slightly less useless

-Minority expulsion is the same thing as the orders. It is just another button to press

-Flagships are cool in concept but once again are little more than a gimmick

Stay clear of this DLC, even if you are a fan.
And mission-trees should never ever be locked behind a paywall given that there are so many of simular or even better quality on the steam-workshop. You basically pay just to be able to get achievments at this point

Poorly fleshed out DLC.
It is bascially just you spending about 130k gold on making just another city in the game. No new gear, events, or gameplay. I had very low expectations but I was still let down.

Whe i got to the ruins of the town and started to build i felt bored immediately but thought it was alright given that the DLC would actually start for real once i had built everything. BUT NO, that is all the DLC has to offer. A really lazy cash-grab on Warhorses part. Sad.

The story-mode has taken focus away from what this game should be about. The hardcore and unforgiving survival, that it does better than any other game I've played. Sadly however, after just one playthrough you feel like you've seen all the game has to offer because of their decision to put all their time and effort into the campaign which I only played for 3-4 hours before going back to "the real game"´.

Unplayable without buying atleast 2 DLCs wich is completely inexcusable given the price tag of said DLCs

But i love this game...
