Hey I just read your review on Corekeeper, I wanted to comment on that but it was closed. Try building the Iron Hoe and use that instead of the shovel for clearing up the acid. it cleans 4 tiles at once and helps immensely. We had the same issue until one day I accidentally right clicked on my hoe instead of my shovel and saw the cheese happen and was like wow :D
