If you're a fan of Souls games, you'll like this.

There are quite a few issues with performance, stuttering, black screens et cetera but Elden Ring is far from a bad game collectively.

I'm running on i7 7700k/GTX1070/16gig 3200mhz RAM and with the exception of the previously mentioned stutter, I get 60fps on med/high settings.
Make sure your drivers are all up to date if you're having trouble running the game. Hopefully patches of the trusty variety roll around soon to make this a 10/10 game.

In typical FromSoft fashion, players are rewarded for exploration, it's just been turned up to 11. If you boss rush, you're probably going to have a bit of a hard time. It's like going to the Catacombs straight from Firelink in DS1. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should ;)

Advice for new players: Take your time and explore, also Magic/Blood weapons.
