We might have repelled the Sony Automaton infiltration this time fellow super citizens, let us rejoice under democracy's flag and let's hope they keep their word and make the game purchasable all around the world once more.

Not like in the trailers, not the game I bought, let's hope for a toggle or a revert of the last patch.

It was a pretty chill and fun game, carried mostly by the community (actual development was clunky and slow but modders and user made it work) now they are locking use modifications (vpns and accessibility mods for disabled users too) under an anticheat that will make their badly coded and slow as hell game even slower.
And all of that to start monetizing their ecosystem out of the blue, without even the most basic features like an avatar search implemented yet...
Devs did basically the bare minimum for the community for 5 years and now they are realizing their game is going nowhere, probably forced by upper management they are skipping ahead to look like a profitable company, yet they are just killing their game faster.
Stay away, search for alternatives, go check out ⒸⓗⓘⓛⓛⓋⓇ or Ⓝⓔⓞⓢ, they are pretty new but promising, depending on when you read this they might be ahead of development to vrchat already, this game has been in development since 2017 but some things still look like straight out of an random unity assetflip someone would make during a 24h gamejam
