Way too easy to die in this game, there's almost no progression besides finding new guns and some levels are just cluster♥♥♥♥s of enemies running after you. For example, when you take down the mafia bosses and the police are guarding the one restaurant, there's literally no way of protecting yourself or preventing the police reinforcements from coming. You just kinda rush through them, snag the guy inside and then run away

I feel like this game should feel a little more strategic than just run and gun at most parts. There's no incentive to play the game any other way.

Not much of a review. More of a things for the development

Good things:
- Art direction. Definitely has a Tarantino/cinematic vibe. I'm excited to see what themes the game will explore, as I could already see what could be in store for future episodes.
- Music. The music was great, very fitting. But there also needed to be more ambient noise and sound effects (see Janky Combat below). But otherwise great direction, even if the music is more hip-hop mixed with a scored orchestra kind of thing

Bad things:
- Combat felt a little janky. There were moments where I was a little stuck just because I wasn't doing exactly the right thing at the right time. Whether it was because I had to jump right into a situation, or because I completely missed engaging with someone because my sword didn't connect right. It just felt a little rough, but it *is* the pilot after all. Also, the very first fight encounter in the minimart didn't feel satisfying enough because I died a dozen times and then cut right through them. It was incredibly anti-climatic for the first kill. Also, some of the kills afterwards in the thug dens weren't satisfying because all it takes is one touch and it feels like there's something missing when you easily kill someone because they were just slow to attack you. The boss fights were good though.

-I had no idea about the stairs concept. I just didn't see them in the street and would've easily missed them in the prison too. I looked up a video to see where I was supposed to go after the Suburban Satans because the stairs were basically invisible.
