Henry is shown to be very soft-spoken, stoic, serious and stern, only seeking revenge and the liberation of the trapped souls. Henry is, deep down, a severely broken man, drowned in his own guilt and remorse. He greatly regretted trusting his best friend and business partner, as doing so unknowingly allowed him to kill a dozen innocent children, the first of whom was his own daughter Charlotte.

While his goals and objectives are noble, his methods are extreme, as his only solution is to destroy all of the animatronics, Michael, and himself in a blaze.

He is shown to be extremely intelligent and manipulative, as he has successfully gotten all of his targets together and gotten Michael to help him complete the task without him even knowing, although he did leave an exit for Michael whom willingly chose not to take.
