Phasmophobia was a great game. Key word being was. I used to love playing the game with friends, and it was one of my favorite party games to sink a few hours into hunting ghosts. Unfortunately, the game has changed a lot since I first started playing a few years ago to the point I’ve hardly touched it in a year. One of the changes that doesn’t affect too much is an art style shift which I’m personally not a fan of, I preferred how the old equipment looked and felt that items were more easily identifiable under it. Bigger changes are in the new inventory/store system, which with the progression and money being slowed makes it harder to have lobbies with all of the necessary equipment to identify the ghost and complete the side objectives needed just to make your money back! The biggest problem in the game for me though is the feature creep in terms of added ghosts and equipment. It’s over complicated what was a fun party game. Personally, the game would have benefitted from having additional content in terms of more maps as opposed to them. I have recently found a fun alternative that reminds me more of the old Phasmophobia in the game Demonoloogist and recommend that to anyone looking for that classic Phas feel!

Love the game, have a ton of hours in it. But this DLC is literal garbage. Bought it on Day 1 for the survivor perks, but most of them are worse versions of existing perks in the game and are dependent on playing in lobbies with friends instead of being solo. The Killer and the balance changes they introduced during this tome are what absolutely ruin it, maybe even the entire game. The nerfs they've given survivors when there is already a massive difference in percentage of wins between survivor and killer (killer's top win streak is over 1000, survivor is somewhere in the 30s) combined with one of the most OP killers who can automatically 3 gen lock you with her ability makes it entirely slanted. Glad this DLC has mostly negative reviews.
