The worst part about this game is having a PSN account. That tells you how great this game is. If you dont get it, you will be reported to the local Democracy Officer.

So Ive played a few hours now and once I have played more Ill come back and update this review. As usual for me, pros/cons.

Pros:
- Literally Crusader Kings and Civilization. You have to manage political intrigue while building your empire
- excellent resource management you can actually buy resources you're short on...something so small yet so big
- Exploration matters
- Infrastructure is simple yet hyper important
- You can set up long range plans that will go on through your descendants
- Perfect civilization pacing

Cons:
- Combat is meh. Defenders dont counter attack, so its very guerrilla warfare-esque...something definitely not seen in the ancient world
- Not a big fan of the random tech selections
- Not enough musical selection
- Ive never been a fan of only being able to place cities in specific areas.

Anywho, overall I am loving this game and am going to play a bit more then update this review.

Ive been playing enough now to give this a review, so I shall.

Pros:
Combat is incredibly enjoyable. Every hit has weight.
Progression feels adequate
Every class is fun and can contribute
Traditional roles are there, but not overly stressed
New gear has a discernable affect on your character
Absolutely beautiful world design

Cons:
The story is ridiculously bad
Genderlocked classes
Stock-standard eastern MMO overly sexualized female characters
Camera lock
Fetch quests galore
"move this rock 2 meters" quests
the world has no character
NPC's have zero depth

All in all, I am enjoying the game and I recommend it. However, if you're expecting more than the stereotypical eastern MMO, you'll be highly disappointed.

I just finished my first playthrough. As usual, Pros and Cons.

PROS:

- The story is fantastic. It has a good pace, logical flow, and great twists and turns. Not to give away spoilers, but I truly understood the dives of the main characters through out the story

- Customization. You really can make whatever character you want, and mold your party (and backup members) to exacting degree. Lots of classes and subclasses let you fine tune each character to your needs...I would like to have re-specd all from lv 1 but you can only re-spec from the level at which you got the character

- Combat. Tactical mode plays JUST like tabletop D&D or Pathfinder. I do find real time a bit chaotic in later engagements.

CONS:

- Bugs. There are lots of minor bugs in the game. THe only one I found TRULY irritating is when tactical combat would break down and do nothing, forcing me to either cheat with toolbox, or switch to real time to finish combat.

- Romances. Its a bit difficult to get certain romances in the game. If you miss your one chance, you lose out completely. No way to make up for it. Kind of lame.

- Power creep. My God. No enemy in Pathfinder should have an AC of 74 on normal difficulty. This is a well known criticism on Reddit and other forums. Monsters are hyper-overpowered. Regular enemies have better stats than tabletop avatars of deities. Some bosses are outright ridiculous. Yes, you can lower the difficulty, but that takes away form immersion.

- MINOR ISSUE: Having to right click -> use potions is rather tedious. Especially hen you have 150 Cure Light Potions. A "use until healed" function, or a double-click option for using items in inventory would be fantastic.

Honestly, this game deserves whatever award it gets, and more. I am absolutely satisfied with this game and cant wait for the DLC.

I refunded, but Im going to come back once some things are fleshed out...namely character customization, and better optimization.

This game is the king of CRPG's. Great story, fantastic characters, great exploration, and good DLC. It has really set the standard for CRPG's going forward. One of the best games I've ever played.

Im enjoying this game thoroughly. The one thing I hate about survival games is the grind for nonsense. This game, although it takes a while to build things, isnt because you need to make 2,000 shoelaces before you can make better shoelaces, but because you lack materials. It encourages exploration instead of stationary crafting. Ill take this over "better looking" games any day.

I happen to love this game. It is very much a story driven game. I dont really understand the comparisons to a souls game however. The bosses are not hyper-overpowered compared to you.

Pros:
+ Great story
+ Combat is fun
+ Characters are fully fleshed out, they seem like actual people living in this universe
+ Good customization options
+ Good progression. When you learn a new power, you really feel like you've grown as a character
+ Map discovery is rewarded accordingly

Cons.
- Camera controls are janky
- Your view can be caught up in walls
- Too many enemies have unblockables
- Blocking can be iffy
- Saber-Staff is unrealistically nerfed on damage
- Force meter refills strangely

All in all, if you want a Star Wars game without all the sequel snobbery, and the overblown powers of Force Unleashed, you'll really like this game....as long as you have the patience for the 2 launchers.
