The fact this game is so criminally underrated is so upsetting. the artstyle and music just hit perfectly! the fact this game is so cheap too is insane because this is frankly a 10-15 dollar experience. if you're considering buying this please do! It is completely worth your time and money.

Worth the time in development

This game is very decisive. I think that it's for sure not for everyone. personally (and this is coming from someone who has never played the original) I had a great time with it! the game had great game feel, the atmospheres was as great as ever, and it could get pretty scary at some parts. the game took me around 4 and a half hours to beat my first playthrough, but I don't think that's completely bad as it gives a greater incentive for multiple playthroughs. although i did enjoy this game a lot, I have to admit that the Resident Evil 2 remake was a lot better. RE2 just had so much going for it that RE3 doesn't. one being the horror aspect. although RE3 did have some truly bone chilling parts, RE2 just filled me with a sense of dread that i've rarely experienced with other horror titles.

My final thoughts: This game is great but is heavily overshadowed by it's predecessor. if you've never played the remake games I'd highly suggest playing RE2 first, if you liked that than by all means play 3. also, wait for a sale if you're unsure, the asking price is a bit too much if you don't think you'll be playing more than once.
