Great entry for Total War and even better with mods. Unfortunately, the forced third-party launcher has broken the game for not only myself, but several people. I will not be playing anymore, and I will not be purchasing any more Total War games in the future.

Fives lol

Super fun game. In terms of "beating" this one, it would probably take you an hour or two of casual play. Charming visuals, relaxing music, and satisfying pace. Not difficult to understand, but if you allow your population to outgrow your productive capacity you might end up with a few graveyards. I'll admit to losing a few people throughout my nine or so hours of play at this point by being short a food item or two and not noticing before it was time for the next Moon. I will admit that eventually I felt as though I had hit a wall in terms of motivation, but I'm confident that the content expansions slated for May and June will bring me back to sink plenty more hours in this. For the money, this is honestly a steal and I can't recommend it enough.

Bought it and all of the DLC on sale. My first real experience with this genre. I really like it. Fun, challenging, and I think it stays pretty fresh each time you play. It's simplistic but I think that's also where it shines. If you buy it make sure you download the Alternative Mod Launcher too, or else you won't be playing with mods.

Very similar to Card Wars

Very fun game! This is my first in the series. Would love to see implementation of an after-the-election mode where you're able to take your candidate and running mate through the process of being the president, with options to take it by the week or by the month. Could have typical barometers of success such as the "First 100 Days" and would include things like executive orders, negotiating with Congress, appointments, international incidents, speeches, appearances, disasters, et cetera. I also think adding state-level gubernatorial options could be really cool. This game has the potential to go from being a casual clicker with political flavor to being a really involved simulator. Eager to see how it develops, especially if a modding community arises that can turn this game into something amazing.

Solid open-source game, especially for free. Missions can become repetitive and the controls are somewhat disorienting at first, but the story arcs are tremendous, there's an active modding community, and there's plenty of mods to spice up the game if it gets stale.
