Outland is a mediocre metroidvania, but the combat is quite lacking and the bosses encounters are more of a puzzle than a combat, still quite cinematic.
Levels are poorly designed and there's small selection of enemies to fight and ways to fight them. Controls feel very stiff. This game is an exercise in frustration hidden behind picturesque gameplay.
