This game has gone downhill since they removed Beethoven 7 as the garage music.

In all seriousness, as much as I enjoy the game it seems like the developers make it their goal to make the games grind torturous. You basically need a premium account (that's honestly fine for me) to still grind very slow, just less slow than the glacial research speed without one. And if you want to research a tolerable rate you will want a premium vehicle on top of that, and obviously the higher tiered vehicle (pronounced "more expensive") the better the research rate. Gaijin has gone through efforts to lower research rate, and silver lions on multiple occasions.

It is really frustrating as players to feel like they need to spend so much money to progress at a decent rate in a game. I understand Gaijin needs to make money as a business but it shouldn't at the cost of players enjoyment. People are not going to leave the game if the grind is better, in fact more people will probably stay.

This is probably one of my new favorite games of all time. Combines the aspect of growth from RPG's and combat that requires critical thinking much like XCOM. The one thing I very much dislike is the RNG in the game always seems to be against you, you'll miss two 60% hits and the enemy will hit two 30% hits. The way you level up brothers and make them stronger either wholistically or in their own way is very rewarding as well as finding named (or legendary) items makes me want to keep playing. The game technically does not have an end so you can play 1 save for as long as you want.
