Wish steam had a mixed option for this one. On the pros first the customization is very good. If you've played carx drift racing you already have an idea on what to expect. The car list has decent enough variety that should fit most people. There is naturally a bias towards jdm vehicles but there's some European and American vehicles in the mix as well. As for the map the size of it pretty good considering the game is only about 15 gb. Its all fairly spread out with different road types from tight mountain roads to long and winding highways with everything in between.

Unfortunately the cons are hard to ignore and for some people may be deal breakers. As other reviews have mentioned the "voice acting" is horrible. They most likely used AI or used the cheapest and most uninterested voice actors that had a very basic understanding on speaking english. The graphics don't quite look as good as the screen shots on the store page as the lighting in the game is quite weird. Best way to see it is watch raw game play footage while comparing it some some of the screenshots. For the vehicle handling its honestly very mid. It's not the worst I've seen but leaves a lot to be desired. Cars grip the road decent enough and hitting the handbrake with get you drifting like the other carx title, however something about the handling simply feels off and a bit unnatural. As for vehicle sounds to put it bluntly they suck. I'm not expecting triple a quality sounds but what was given here honestly feels like it would fit in a ps2 game.

In closing while expectations should be tempered since this is basically the mobile game with some extra work put into it I cant help but still feel disappointed with it on release. The biggest problem with it is if you already own some of the other open world racers out there such as the forza horizons or the more recent need for speeds then this brings nothing new to the table. If you still want to give it a shot I would recommend keeping the 2h refund limit in mind just in case it doesn't meet your standards. If your on the fence about it I'd advise holding off and waiting to see what support it gets and if any of the above is addressed.

Can't advise anyone to buy this anymore. Latest update replaced armor with wet crackers, turned all engines into Al Gore's nightmare, made resource management a joke , and overall simplified the game far too much where this could be considered more of an arcade game now. In a nutshell this makes 90% of existing designs worthless as well as makes anything based on real ship designs doomed to be subpar, "non meta", and downright near impossible to run longer then a few minutes. If you do insist on getting this I HIGHLY recommend changing the version to an older one of your choosing.

Overall 10/10 Would become a Somalian pirate again.

Had a great time with it so far. Fun with friends, quite challenging, and is very in depth. Will update review after I finish troubleshooting technical problems and get to play the game.

Dont bother with this game, the devs seem to have tossed it away in favor for a new game that already has dlc before it's even launched. Stay away from this game and any future games from this company. And as a extra middle finger to the player base, owners of peak angle dont get a discount to the new game as "its a different game".

This was a good game. Good physics, visuals were decent, and the customization was good enough. So, how do you ♥♥♥♥ it up? I'll tell you, They took nearly all the cars, removed the ingame money, then hid them all behind a dlc wall. Not only that but the packs are WAY too over priced for what you get. If it was 5 to 4 dollars i could live with it but 9 to 7 for packs that add 3 to 4 cars is a rip off. Your better off saving your money for something else. Shame as this game had potential then they just let greed take over development and now we get this.

Boy how money hungry are they? Not only are they making the dlc packs over priced but now there is a deluxe edition? Lol what? Alright then gather around everyone we are going to do a bit of math.
They have reduced the price to 9 dollars for the base game. Then we have 4 dlcs, all over priced as they give nothing that would demand the price they are at now. With tax and such its 10+9+7+6+5. That equals 37 dollars for base game and all dlc separately. All together with the scam pack and its 23 dollars. This is still a giant rip off. For both prices your still getting next to nothing for content, drift phyics from what feels like a game from 2005, mediocre graphics and sound effects and zero online gameplay(Sorry peak angle ghosts of players on the track with you doesn't count as multiplayer). Your better off buying assetto corsa with the japan car pack then modding it. Sure it may be more expensive but trust me you will get far more enjoyment from that then this.

At this point dont get the game at all. Its abandoned by the devs at this point. Their main website is gone and their forum hasn't had any recent posts. Game is dead and seems to have only been made to get some quick money.

At the start I would have recommended this game. It had potential and decent gameplay. Now its simpily abandon ware. The game is fun for the first 30 minutes and after that its simpily repetitive. There is very few callouts, unrealistic vehicle handling, and the controls feel clunky a bit. Also if you come here expecting something like a "certain mod for a certain game" this is nothing like it. Infact they lock your threads if you mention the "certain mod" which i wont be saying but if your looking for police sims then i think you already know what im talking about.

At first i used to recommend this game. However seeing its 2016 and not a word from the devs and it seems this game was a money grab. The only good thing is it was a money grab with SOME work put in it. Dont get me wrong the game is there and playable. But by my playtime it was boring and repetive so badly I would immediatly play something like the crew or need for speed. In the end if you have 3 dollars to waste dont do it here. Look through the other games, there may be one you like. But trust me nothing is as bad as this money grabbing crap.

Unlike the newer rainbox six games where your playing as a god squad killing millions of enemys while spraying anything down this game is back to the routes. Here you arent playing as jesus and his squad of bullet proof rambos, here your playing as an actual counter terriost group. The missions all focus on mainly a few things mainly the terriost group taking hostages or planting bombs. For a game released in 2003 the ai is quite nice. If an enemy sees you and is near a hostage they can try to execute that hostage. Also the amount of weapons in this game. Dear god the guns. You have some many options like smgs,ars,shotguns,lmgs, pistols, and snipers. Put you cant just run around shooting everyone. Sometimes terriosts will surrender and it will let you cuff them. So you have to go lethal most of the time but sometimes theres that one terriost whos smarter than the rest and knows his match. Plus multiplayer is still up. I extremely recommend this game if your a true tactical shooter fan.

It is fun to play as the ground units and lead tank formations into battle but dont expect the same quality as the other modules. This feels more of something the devs added like a "Since we have some spare time lets make the tanks drivable for players" thing. Its good but not up to the same level. If your expecting a tank sim try steel beasts that game is a true tank sim while this game focuses more on aircraft.

This game in a nutshell is the poor mans battlefield. But just because something is poor dosent mean its bad. Considering its free its quite fun to play in huge maps and you start out with vehicles like tanks helis trucks and other things. Great game over all for the price of free.
