If you intent to convey the attrition aspect of DnD then maybe consider starting with it more properly from the very start. I started playing the game on ''hard'' difficulty and it really wasnt until I got to the final boss fight.

It takes you like an hour and 5 areas until you reach the final boss fight and you are not able to rest before the engagement. The NPCs which are there to help you are doing quite the opposite because huge a** dragons do not distinquish between friend or foe when they puke all over the place like Drogon did in Kings Landing.

The game is very nice - the final 1-2 hours are very disappointing and not rewarding at all.
