On an average winter morning I was enjoying a cup of sweltering tea an abrupt hammering on my front door disturbed my day and led to a series of unexpected events. I did as anyone would, I placed down my cup and repositioned myself a suitable distance from the door, close enough to open but not too close in order to prevent a collision in the event it should be opened. And good thing I did, because suddenly as if I lost all control and instinct got the better of me I found my hand on the door handle opening it without a second though. However, this is not quite true, while my hand followed pure instinct I my mind however went into overdrive and I started to wonder; Is it my neighbour? Is it his kid? Does he even have a kid? Why have I never met his kid? Maybe I have and I just didn't know it was his kid? Where has this kid been since the last time I might has seen them? At boarding school, perhaps university, maybe traveling overseas. But no, wrong was I wrong. You would not believe what I saw when I opened the door. As I peaked around the opening I saw the depts of oblivion. The entity which has disrupted the peace was nowehere to be found. In the very near distance I hear a vehicle's handbrake disengage and it's wheels starting to turn. And I realised, around the corner a person is about to depart from my driveway unseen but not unheard, and you would not believe what I saw when I looked down. A package, not too big, not too small, a perfect size to comfortably carry in one hand yet not risking looking too awkward if you should decide to carry it in both hands. I retreated back inside, finished my slightly colder cup of tea and embarked on a journey to the kitchen drawer seeking what all who have found themselves in this situation desires. Once I found the mystical object consisting of two knives with circular handles bolted together in the center capable of destroying all that should come between them I knew all is about to be revealed. I did what anyone would, I swiftly cut the one side of the packing and extracted the contents from within. And you would not believe what I found. A toothbrush. Overall 4/5, because 5/5 = 1 and a 1-star rating is bad.
