It depends on wheter it is fiction versus nonfiction. I assume you understand the reason people would read nonfiction for fun (an obcession with knowing and a desire to see the big picture).

Reading fiction for fun requires being able to get into the material in a similar way to how people do with computer games. Since there are alot less hooks or interactivity in reading it is harder. Think of it this way; if you've ever played bioware games, a substantial part of them is interacting with your companions and learning about them. That is of course assuming the book isn't about an idea or setting (most of Asimov's work falls into those latter categories); those have different feels and instead of activity your interest in what makes other people tick, they seem more to tickle the part of your brain that deals with puzzles and seeing how everything works together.

Haha, I see you're doing the mining as well sounds fun.

Everyone reacts differently to getting wisdom teeth pulled but I'm sure it'll be nothing. I had all 4 removed a morning last summer and was eating solid food that night. If you're not in pain don't take the meds. They made me feel worse than the actuall teeth.

And reading for fun is not something I understand. I just can't sit still enough.

Not much to discuss really of interest. Having wisdom teeth removed (on the first), sick from allergies/possible flu, studying of data mining, looking for work, sad that life isn't really going anywhere.

As for reading, my true love, have read history of egypt prehistory to pyramids (good, but hard to summarize), black experience in WW2 (more of an overview; slightly more meat than wiki article) , darkling sea (sci fi; okay, but focused on action which unfortunately meant displacing more interesting content) and data mining for the masses (actually interesting, but hard to read when you have a pounding headache).

Haha we should just have a discussion here. Then it really is spam.

I know; why do you think I commented on it?
