Patiently awaiting FromSoft's next release(s)... :steammocking: The anticipation is unreal as not only do I absolutely love FromSoftware / Bandai-Namco's work, but I am a huge fan of George R.R. Martin's work as well. The fact that he is collaborating with FromSoft to create, "Elden Ring..." My expectations are quite high to say the least. I have watched, "Game of Thrones," in its entirety at least six times, have read the books and even attended an Orchestral concert featuring the music of, "Game of Thrones..." I Have played and finished both Sekiro and Bloodbourne (and spent months in the Chalice Dungeons...) although they are not on my list of Steam games because I PS4ed them. Both games were among the best I've ever played and so I now plan on playing all three "Souls" games - just picked up DSIII on Steam. I am not an MMO guy and so have little need for features like "PS+," yet I loved "Bloodbourne," so much that I went and got a PS+ membership just so I could explore the Chalices. Lastly as far as near-future releases are concerned, I await "Diablo IV," with bated breath. The "Diablo," series is among my favorite of all-time, and so Isometric / Hack n' Slash RPGs are a natural go-to. My other favorite game format is Open-World. I enjoy both first and 3rd person formats here, and highly approve of games that allow one to switch between views at will, such as with "Fallout," and "Skyrim."
Now playing, "Pillars of Eternity II," and looking forward to trying my hand at, "Kingdom Come: Deliverance," because I'm a fan of Medieval history and huge, Open-world games. I also love Horror games such as those from the "Resident Evil," series. "The Last of Us," was another game among those I consider to be the best I've ever played and I am now just completing, "The Last of Us 2," on PS4.
I actually enjoy a very wide range of game-types. I am a die-hard fan of anything to do with, "Fallout," and have played and beat, "Fallout III," "Fallout: New Vegas," and "Fallout IV." I have a whopping 1,400+ hours logged on "Fallout: New Vegas," on Steam. :steamhappy: I have less on the other titles from the series becauase, again, I mostly PS4ed those. I am almost purely a solo-gamer - so much so that my love for the "Fallout" series aside, I have yet to even try "Fallout 76."
Games I've recently finished: "The Witcher III: Wild Hunt," "Red Dead Redemption II," "Horizon: Zero-Dawn," "Resident Evil: Biohazzard / VII," "Resident Evil II (Remake)," "Resident Evil III (Remake)," "Tales of Vesperia," "Legends of Mana," and others. Finally, I am currently "In-Progress," with: "Dragon Age: Inquisition," "Pillars of Eternity II," "Salt & Sanctuary," Dark Souls III," and "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim." I know, I know... I tend to play titles long after they are new - but I do get to them. Hey, I've still never watched, "The Godfather," so sue me!
In leaving, I will say that I have been a gamer since the age of 6. My first console was a Nintendo. No super, no 64 - just, "Nintendo." My first computer was a DOS IBM386 - not exactly a gaming rig by today's standards... I have owned every version of Nintendo's consoles since as well as every PlayStation console since the first one hit the market. I absolutely love console gaming and often find myself drawn away from my gaming machine because I am a huge couch potato and have learned to play games very efficiently with one hand while lying down. That's actually not a joke. When it comes to PC gaming, I build my own machines. I am currently running an Intel / Nvidia build that is about to hit the 10 year mark and the machine still runs fantastic - of course I cannot put out 4k at max settings, but I can do a very smooth 1920x1080 with settings. I plan to build another rig soon - likely an AMD Ryzen this time around - but I will be sticking with Nvidia and am awaiting the release of the RTX3000 series. I am an avid modder (not creator) and if you haven’t visited the Nexus, you probably should.
