Since this game is on sale again I figured I better put in my 2 cents. Note, I haven't finished the game yet but I feel like I've put in enough time to make a few points.
Pros:
- The movement system is fun and works well most of the time, yes not being able to sprint can be a little frustrating but it does force you to chain grappling into parachuting.
- Finding creative uses for the tethers and rocket bombs is a bunch of fun. Some of the tech is hit or miss but there are some real gems.
- You'll be able to pull off the crazy stunts you see in all the gifs. Once you're comfortable with using the tethers it's pretty easy to amazing moments happen.

Cons:
- Vehicles are awful. All vehicles have serious problems but I'll focus on planes and motorcycles since they're the worst. Planes are essentially useless because they're so unresponsive. Roll and pitch work alright but yaw might as well be non-existant, it doesn't matter if you're in a jet or a prop plane lining up a target is more frustrating than fun. Motorcycles don't work, seriously they don't work at all. Since the vehicles are so bad you'll be sticking to your grappling hook, parachute, and glide suite < more on that later.
- Story. Look I'm not expecting more than action flick level writing from the game but it's worse than just cheesy writing. You'll regularly feel like you missed an important cutscene when the story jumps from one section to another with no explanation. I thought that I'd missed something within the first couple of missions so I checked online to catch up on the cutscenes but there really was nothing there. It's a shame because the characters really are great but the storyline just feels broken. The loading times don't help either (I'm running this off an ssd as well, god help the man that runs this on a hard disk).
- Bullet spongy enemies. Some of the enemies take a lot of bullets. That's not to say they're difficult, just frustrating to clean up, you'll end up just grappling them to some distant item and flinging them into an abyss. Rinse and repeat.
- Repetition. Eventually you'll find yourself doing the same thing over and over. Sure it's fun to blow up some enemies with a tractor but it takes so much effort to set it up correctly that it's just not worth it. Since the vehicles are so broken you're going to be stuck grappling, parachuting, and gliding everywhere. The same goes for fighting, it doesn't take long to figure out the optimal way to take down the different enemies and using anything else just becomes frustrating. There are a ton of challenges but just a handful of types, gaining points for upgrades just becomes a grind.

Conclusion:
There are better open world games. It can be fun at times but you'll probably find yourself getting burned out after a few hours.
