I received the Darktide Closed Beta through the pre beta signup on Darktides website.

The Darktide Closed Beta has been a great deep dive into 40k by Fatshark. The level designs are absolutely stunning, I find myself wandering off (much to the detriment of my strike team) just looking at the scenery (Don't forget to look up every once in awhile!) The game has a super fun and addictive gameplay loop, from long distance gunfights along catwalks, where I am throwing myself behind cover to quickly return fire on traitor guard, to the always enjoyable charging a horde of shoddy melee troops with my shovel/knife. My only gripe with the game is that I think it would benefit greatly from more horror aspects. An enemy popping out of a vent in the side of the wall, or pushing thru the bottom of a catwalk to grab at your ankles and deliver damage/temporarily stun you. Quickplay is how ive had the most success in this game, but be prepared for teammates to split up (and lose your toughness regen) as well as hog ammo and medical. IF you can find some friends to play with, who understand how a cooperative game like this should be played, you'll be just fine!

Overall, a very fun game. I give it a 9/10!
