At first this was not what I expected but it really grew on me. The gameplay is unique and enjoyable both solo and in multiplayer. Positioning, RNG and plenty of grinding involved to unlock vestiges (like passive bonuses) as well as cosmetics. Its actually a lot more addictive than I expected it to be at first glance. You might enjoy it as well. Cheers.

Amazing game especially considering the price. Lots and lots of content here. Think Diablo meets Vampire Slayers. I have played many many VS clones but this one is easily my favorite. Lots of cool unlocks to grind for. The three heroes I have unlocked so far all play very differently from each other. You can use gold earned after each run to buy permanent upgrades for all your heroes.

You have different equipment slots too. Head, Rings x2, Boots, Gloves, etc. When you kill certain elites/mini-bosses you will get to choose from a choice of loot. You can keep it equipped for that run or after you unlock a certain npc he will offer his "extraction service" where you lose the item that run but afterwards you can purchase between runs for a hefty price. If you do so, the item becomes yours permanently and can be equipped on any hero whenever you want. These become yours and will never disappear so you can fully gear up your heroes.

The game is simply awesome. Has lots and lots of enemies onscreen and definitely has that classic Diablo-esque vibe but in a more pure action form. Highly recommended!!!

Appears I am in the minority when I say I actually like this game lol. Plenty of negative knee-jerk reaction reviews from people who didn't play for even an hour complaining about: NO PVP WTF? microtransactions in a f2p game? Game is unplayable?!? Looks like a mobile pos! Story makes no sense! etc.

Yes, I played the old Hawken and yes I liked it. It was good solid pvp action at the time. Times change. This version of Hawken is pve only atm but still feels like the old one to me. Fast, hard-hitting mech combat engaging enemy turrets, soldiers, drones and of course other mechs. Battletech, Mechwarrior, Gundam, you know the drill. It's exactly as I expected and in some ways even better. While the current campaign is short and limited to 6 missions atm there is an endless patrol mode where you can choose to fight progressively harder enemies before deciding when to extract. I ran it for first time, played for about 20 minutes up to threat 76 and when I left I had looted more and better rewards than I had in the first 3 story missions combined. So yeah, there is a degree of replay value if you want to min/max your mechs to higher "Mark" tiers.

Anyways, the game is free so worst case scenario is you lose a little time out of your day if you don't like it. Who knows, you might be surprised and actually enjoy it like I do lol. Try it for yourself and see. Cheers.

p.s. Game ran super smooth for me with video settings maxed. Experienced zero bugs and no crashes before, during and after.

Think of it like this: what if Korean devs decided to make a game like Path of Exile but put their own twist on it?

That is basically what Undecember is. Grindy at times, overpriced cash shop and mtx for certain things... but... but... the game is fun as hell! Lengthy campaign you can play entirely solo if you like (I am currently lvl 40 in Act 5 of which there are 10 Acts total). Classless template, all chars start off as a blank slate and you are free to choose your playstyle from there. Play a dedicated glass cannon, hybrid melee spellcaster, tanky ranged dps, etc. All depends on what skills you choose to equip and how you allocate your stats (STR, DEX, INT). Lots of freedom to play around with builds but you will eventually need to invest your resources in only a few skills as you level up or else you may run out.

A word of warning though, this game can be frustrating at times and if you are a f2p player and rely entirely on RNG you may be feeling gimped at times. I normally dont advocate p2win games but a little bit of cash can go a long ways if you feel so inclined. I played up to around lvl 30 before I decided to make some purchases so my advice is to try it for yourself and see if you like the game.

Gameplay is fast, fluid (at least on my mage) and the particle effects and spell animations are very nice. Sharp, crisp clean graphics that are thematically similar to PoE but also Grim Dawn in some regards. Nice cut scenes for most bosses too and the boss fights can be challenging (many complain they are over tuned lol). Overall, a fun game for those who enjoy ARPGs. Give it a shot and see for yourself.

Bought this on a whim and was not disappointed. Its definitely a diamond in the rough atm but what is there is fun (for me at least). There are some QoL issues atm like lack of camera movement, etc but nothing that really can't be ignored until addressed and fixed (Dev seems to be competent and on the ball in this regard from some of his replies I have read in the sub forum).

Storyline is pretty barebones atm but thats to be expected for most EA titles and besides, but who are we kidding... ARPGs are all about gameplay, synergies, and loot lol. In this regard I find the game very enjoyable. The skills, augment, and upgrades are interesting but you will be left to the mercy of RNG because you wont really know how to build an effective char until you just jump in and commit. There are no skill respecs so you have to choose wisely but there are some removal/re-rolls, etc to somewhat customize your loadout.

Overall it seems like a lot of meat on the bone the further you progress (I was able to make it to lvl 10 in my first 2 hours). I went with a summoner Blood build (summons give 10% health back as dmg) since I had upgraded my max summons to 7 and 3 with a single cast. Unfortunately the leeching portion (10% back) doesnt seem to work at all lol so 2 steps forward, 1 step back. Its EA after all, I am used to such things in early access anyways. This game has potential so I will choose not to refund, its a keeper for me based on what I have played so far and the potential it has.

If you are expecting a fully polished game then this is not the title for you but if like me, you love ARPGs like Grim Dawn, Last Epoch, Wolcen, Titan's Quest, etc then it is a good game to at least follow and jump into when you feel ready after some updates have been made.

I rarely do reviews for a lot of the adult-themed games I play but this one deserves to shine in the spotlight. Wow... just wow. What an emotional rollercoaster. The characters and their relationships felt like real people. Other games, its easy to pick one or two favorites to like that stand out from the rest but in this game, I felt strongly attached to ALL the characters. That is a real testament to the quality of the writing.

The dialogues felt genuine, the MC (main character) and his best bud Chris were likeable, not cringey like in some other games. Additional kudos for the great soundtrack. A lot of the tracks set the mood just right for what was happening on screen. Ultimately I choose to focus on Cece's path and the game does have some dark moments though that really hit hard emotionally (for me at least) but I absolutely loved the game in its entirety.

Relationships are not easy, they require work and effort from both parties to be successful. And this game delivers that with mature storytelling. Not just "sexy time, all the time" with zero repercussions or consequences. Definitely rank this up there with one of the best games of this genre I have played thus far.

When this game first came out it was met with a lot of negative reviews. I suspect many of those were from long time Dungeons & Dragons players who had preconceived notions about what *they* thought the game *should* be like... "This is NOT DnD!!!" "Gary Gygax is rolling in his grave" blah blah yadda yadda... I consider myself a long time DnD fan as well having bought the original red basic edition way back in the day to play with my brother. As I got older I bought more and more source materials. I was that weird kid who had all the monster manuals, dungeon master's guide, deities and demigods, etc but had no one to play with lol. I just enjoyed reading the books and modules. Good times... but I digress.

Anyways, I decided to purchase the game and see for myself what it was like. I do not regret my purchase. The game is good, really good in fact. It captures the feel of both Icewind Dale, Drizzt and his companions, and a more modern take on DnD (something different from the usual isometric party RPGs we are used to). I have read many other reviews by players complaining of bugs, glitches, errors, etc but I can only write MY review based on MY experiences and not those of others. 20+ hours in and havent encountered a single bug, crash, etc so take that as you will. PCs are finicky things though so individual mileage may vary when it comes to bugs. It should be noted that up to this point I have played exclusively solo and many of the reported bugs may stem from multiplayer so keep that in mind.

Gameplay wise, I enjoy the game loop. Base hub to upgrade and accept new missions, adjust your gear (loadout), then venture out to smash and conquer said mission. Farming is possible. Each mission has a range of challenge tiers. Higher the tier, better the rewards. None of this is groundbreaking, anyone who has played similar type games will feel right at home. Graphics are good, lots of effects happening on screen at any given time. Sound is decent, the background music is nice and the cut scenes interspersed throughout the campaign are really well done. Voice acting is... average imo. This is not some random button masher. You must play smart, positioning is key, dodges, parries, blocks, light and heavy attacks, combos, special abilities, ultimates, etc are all here. The difficulty does ramp up on higher challenge tiers and you can easily get wiped or 1, 2 shotted by elites if not careful. Fortunately there is no death penalty, you merely restart at your last checkpoint.

Overall, I enjoy the game. Another fine addition to my library. I would rate it 8/10 based on MY experiences. Yours may differ. 8-)

There a lot of mixed reviews re: this game. I actually enjoy it quite a bit based on my limited experience thus far (lvl 5, with around 40ish completed quests atm). It hits all the right notes for me. Fast, fluid combat that requires parrying plus dodge rolls. Light attacks, heavy attacks, magic spells, thrown weapons, ranged weapons, etc.

Early on, the combat feels repetitive and clunky but thats only because you have yet to unlock your potential. With skill point investment, blessings and boons equipped, and upgraded weapons the combat feels good imo. Its a hybrid somewhere between Mount and Blade and Skyrim if I had to describe it.

There is a TON of loot with all the desired rarities (Common to Legendary) and plenty of min/maxing to be had even early on. So far I have not encountered any serious bugs or crashes (minor annoyances did happen like map overlay and inventory screen sometimes "fusing" together but it cleared itself up). I realize other reviewers have experienced more severe bugs but for me, so far so good.

Overall, I would give this an 8/10. Lacks some polish in a few areas and the voice acting is a mixed bag ranging from overzealous to spot on. Graphics-wise, the game looks pretty good. Less cartoony than Kingdoms of Amalur and more akin to something in-between Gothic series, Outward, and Skyrim. If you like looter-based ARPGS then you could do a lot worse than this game. I do not regret my purchase and having a lot of fun so far. Recommended!!!

Amazing indie game that I have been following for many months. With the most recent English language update the game is fully playable. A unique game setting that I would describe as something of Mulan meets Lawrence of Arabia with splashes of Mount and Blade and Diablo thrown in to boot. The hardest part is the beginning but after 30 minutes or so you will definitely get a feel for how the game plays. Definitely a niche game and not for everyone but if you like open world type action rpgs with dynasty warrior type battles then this is your jam! Get it now while its cheap, you wont be disappointed.

Interesting take on the Avengers disbanding then reforming. Wasn't sure if I would like the direction they were heading with the main story line but it eventually sucked me in and by the end I was fully onboard. Each character has their own unique skill set and they all play very differently in terms of melee, ranged, mobility, etc. Simply mashing buttons will get you downed quickly as the AI does a pretty decent job of dodging or blocking and some of the more tougher baddies have high dmg and hp thresholds.

Graphics wise, the game is gorgeous. It really does feel like a full on MARVEL movie when you have a power team in play. Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America etc really have some nice effects and the pyrotechnics show is fun to watch. Lots of people have had performance issues but I can honestly say that 21 hours in and with my older rig I have had ZERO issues. No bugs, crashes, etc. so for me at least, the game seems well optimized.

Early on your characters feel slightly underpowered but by the time you have finished the campaign and your roster is full the heroes really start to shine. Loot has quite a variety which enhances your play style and the skill tree customization is pretty meaty (many more options than I expected tbh). Overall, I am quite satisfied and am enjoying the game thus far. Fun factor is off the charts for me and it really does feel like a properly made superhero game (a genre we can all agree needs more options).

Final score: 8.5 out of 10
