Early Access Review
I`ve never seen such a complex town building- or rather say- state building game before.
Still a few things not finished yet, but absolute playable.
I caught myself being in the planing mode for hours, adjusting train lines and factory connections etc., before they are even built.
It´s awesome to have the chance to build things yourself in the game, and not just with a mouse click.
Furthermore the community on steam is extremely helpful.
When ever a question pops up
there is always one or few comrades around to assist and advice.
Even the devs are participating in troubleshooting.

The player has almost all freedom to create the map the way he/she like.
I played 1700 h + so far ( Feb. 2021 ) and have by far not built everything yet.
The biggest headaches I observed with me and other players were as follows:

Semaphores:
( Train signals ) Lot´s of discussion and fault finding were in place.
But they are working fine now.

Terra forming:
Since that can be done in map editor or as part o the game it should be considered that these are two different elements of the game.
U can play a random map created by the game, down load one here on steam, have a vanilla map, or do one yourself.
When in game you still can change things in the editor later.
Or you can do it the "hard" way.
You can not terra form until you have a building with at least one bulldozer and one excavator near by. Getting the shape of the map the way U like it, can be tricky.

Financial:
The biggest challenge IMO is to not go bankrupt.
Since your people don´t pay any tax you need to find a way to export goods to be able to buy the goods you are not producing yourself yet.
So independence is a long term goal for many players.

Hell, you can even produce cars, trucks, ships, trains... you name it... all by yourself.
But only if you can manage the logistics around it.

I did not even mention the heating system which is necessary so your folks won´t die in winter, or the electricity which without nothing will go.

So if you want to dive into this game all I can say:
Take the challenge and give it a go.
I did not regret a single minute.
